This lovely studio apartment is located just 300m from a beautiful beach. Albufeira centre is just a five minute drive and it is also very close to the new marina and harbour. There is a mini market and two restaurants. There is golf nearby at Salgados, and there are many other courses within easy reach. The Moorish Castle of Silves is twenty five minutes drive and beyond are the mountains and valleys of Monchique. Quick response to all queries.

Use of beautiful swimming pool just 20 paces from apartment. There is also a very shallow children's pool. Surrounded by lovely green gardens and cool pathed walks.
Coast/Beach
The beach is 300 metres from the apartment. From the beach you can walk along the cliffs to the east into Albufeira, or to the west to explore further beaches.
Golf
Salgados Golf is about 10 minutes drive.
Travel
FARO airport is about 40-45 minutes drive. Car hire is recommended, but not essential.
Distances
Albufeira, with its busy night life, is about 5-10 minutes drive. There are many bars, clubs and restaurants ranging from traditional Portuguese (FADO music) to Indian and Chinese. Silves, with its fascinating Moorish Castle and ancient Cathedral is about twenty minutes drive. Further to the north, amongst the hills, is Monchique and other spa villages. To the east and west are a wide range of resort, market and fishing communities.
Further details
Most leisure activities can be catered for in the Algarve. There are boat trips along the coast from Faro, lots of golf courses etc.

Have been meaning to e-mail since we got back, we had a really lovely time! You have got a fantastic spot there! The weather was just right and the beach was beautiful. The only down side for me was that Scarlett, would you believe, did not like sand! It really distressed her when she got it on her feet so she wore her trainers and socks on the beach! Never mind, maybe she'll like it next year. I'll have to get her in training with a sand pit in our garden!

We bought our property at Sao Rafael in 2003. We have been spending our holidays in Portugal for over twenty years and decided to take the plunge and buy something. We have been very happy with our purchase. We stay there ourselves 3-4 times a year and it is used by other family members and friends as well as being let out. Sao Rafael is a beautiful resort, unlike so many others it is actually near the beach, no tedious bus journeys!
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought our property at Sao Rafael in 2003. We have been spending our holidays in Portugal for over twenty years and decided to take the plunge and buy something. We have travelled extensively in the Algarve and the rest of Portugal, but were particularly attracted to the Sao Rafael area. For relaxing by the pool or on the beach, beautiful walks and calm evenings it is ideal. And the restaurants of Albufeira, Albufeira Marina and Guia are only a short distance away.
