This beautiful Farmhouse Cottage has been lovingly restored, retaining many original features including a stone 'feature' bread oven in the dinning room and a large cast iron wood-burning stove for cosy winter evenings. The many different patio areas surrounding the house have shady nooks for those siestas. The roof terrace with breathtaking views of the hills is the perfect place for a sundowner with amazing sunsets, or a romantic star-lit evening dinner! There is a large patio area with a stone built barbecue and grape vine covered seating area. The ivy covered bench patio area is always shaded for a laid back lunch! The pool area has an elevated shaded area with pleasant views. The house is set in the countryside yet only minutes drive from Tavira, and is very private. Our local 'unique' restaurant is only 5 mins walk away!

Notes on prices
The property comprises the House (with 2 double bedrooms) and 2 adjacent Studios (each with double bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms). There is cot available for young children at no extra charge. Clarification of above Weekly Rates:- Low season rate: House = £550. Studios if required = £200 each Mid season rate: House = £680. Studios if required = £270 each. High season rate: House + 1 studio (minimum hire in this season) = £1100. Second studio if required add £350, total = £1450. We do not rent the studios seprately, so if just the house is rented the studios will remain unoccupied and guests have the gardens and pool to themselves.
A deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking. The remaining balance to be paid no later than 6 weeks before arrival.

Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | The bedrooms in the farmhouse are one double and one twin with plenty of wardrobe space. the double bedroom has a new ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and French doors opening onto the patio. Both have high cane thatch and beam ceilings. There is a second bathroom with shower in the house.
The studio's are spacious and are both doubles. They have the same high ceilings as the house, there is a small table and chairs in both studio's, with en suite shower rooms in each studio, both have fans and small fridges, again ample wardrobe and cupboard space. There is also a kitchen outside the studios and has a kettle and toaster with plug points on the work surface plus 2 sink. The studio's are just across the main patio from the house. We only use the studios as extra to the house, so if you just want to rent the house you still have your privacy, nobody else will be in the studios! There is also a travel cot and highchair. Notes on accommodation
The sheets/towels are changed weekly, the pool is cleaned weekly. You are left to yourselves during the course of your stay to ensure your privacy. Our property manager speaks very good English. The patio's are flat with one step down to the studio patio. The pool area is also flat and has a small entrance gate for safety. There are plenty of sunbeds etc around the pool.

Location Information: Tavira is a lovely unspoilt Algarve town sitting on the river Gilao, with its own Fort. Spring and summer bring many local festivals, where areas around the many churches are decorated with paper flowers laboriously handmade by the locals and dancing through the night is common on these occasions! Spain is only 30 minutes drive away, Ayamonti is a pretty town on the border with narrow cobbled streets. Villa Real is on the Portuguese/Spanish border is famous for its linen and towels. The house is about 10 minutes from Tavira where there is a short ferry ride to the long sand bar island beach which has restaurants, and there are many beaches which are pretty much deserted. A natural reserve is within walking distance where there is a picnic area, cafe and a board walk to the waterfall. There are two golf courses within 15 minutes drive.
