Outside
The beautiful 10x5 private pool is solar heated with plenty of terracing all around and surrounded by many sub tropical flowers and shrubs. There is a lovely covered area with a wooden 10 seater table and BBQ. We have recently re-lanscaped the gardens to include an orchard and hardwood decking area to the rear of the property.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful Meia Praia beach is a 10 minutes drive away, a 4km sandy beach offering watersports and beachside cafes. There are many other quiet sandy beaches within a few minutes drive, but to escape it all, try the west coast beaches which offer peace and spectacular scenery.
Golf
The nearest golf course is the Boa Vista, 3 minutes drive from the villa, a challenging 18 hole course with beautiful views across Lagos, the Atlantic and surrounding countryside. Palmares course with its links holes along Meia Praia beach is also only 10 minutes by car. Parque da Floresta is 15 minutes away.
Travel
Faro airport is about 1 hours drive along the new motorway which extends to Lagos, from the end of the motorway the villa is easy to find.
A car would be necessary.
Distances
Lagos - 5 minutes drive.
Praia da Luz - 5 minutes drive.
Silves - Lovely Moorish town 25 minutes drive.
Sagres and West coast - 20 minutes drive.
Further details
Lagos is a lovely historic town with many good restaurants, bars and local shops lining the cobbled streets and the new modern marina offers a lovely contrast to the old town offering waterside dining and bars. There are numerous supermarkets and banks offering everything you could need.
Surfing & Windsurfing:-
The West Algarve really is a secret treasure as far as these sports are concerned. The west coast offers gorgeous, quite unspoilt surfing beaches waiting to be surfed.
For the windsurfers, the south coast offers good blasting and freestyle while the west offers the lure of quality wave beaches. Apparently these are best in the summer months when the north wind swings cross shore down the coast. ‘Windsurf Point’ windsurfing have a hire centre in Meia Praia and Martinal where up to date kit can be rented per hour, half day, week etc.
