The 8 bed sauna chalets, with a traditional Norwegian style, are located in a small resort with 20 chalets, designed for families. With play facilities for children; most popular is the 'jumping pillow'. Tennis court, rowing boats, sand pits, and outdoor fire places are available. A free of charge Elk safari is offered during the Summer. Birdwatchers enjoy filming birds from the balcony of the chalets. Free internet access. Vradal is well known for the Lake Nisser with its several islands, beaches and beautiful pine forests surrounded by hills and mountains up to 1140m. Walkers find 80km of marked trails and a Nordic Walking arena. Two nature trails tell you about the geology, animal life, plants, trees, forestry and historical issues. Vradal Skis centre is located 7km from the chalets. In the village you find a supermarket, two hotels, bicycle rent and horse riding. From the UK, Ireland, and Germany the Ryan Air has flights to Torp Airport (15 km) where you can rent a car.

Notes on accommodation
Price includes electricity, firewood and utilities. Suitable for children. Vradal Hyttegrend accommodation is adaptable for one, two or three generations. Very often two families rent the a chalet together.
Accessibility
Parking lots for 1-2 cars just outside the chalet.
Outside
The surrounding islands are very popular for picnicking, bathing, fishing, and in the Autumn you can pick lots of blueberries and cranberries. Rent of out board motor has to be booked in advance. Our guests enjoy the unpolluted fresh water. In the Winter you very often have the opportunity of skating, skiing or snowshoeing on the thick Ice.
Coast/Beach
The distance to the nearest sandy beach at Lake Nisser is 400m. We offer rental of rowing boats which enable you reaching the several islands within a distance of km's. Here you can find your own beach, do picnicing and angling. Our guests find lake Nisser an eldorado for fishing with flies, spinners and nets. The best fishing season use to be from the beginning of June and to the end of September.
Skiing
Skiing. The Vradal ski resort boasts 20km of groomed slopes offering extensive skiing for all abilities. The Vradal Ski centre, located 7km from the chalet, is famous for the first 8-seater chairlift in the world. The Ski centre guarantee you no wait longer than 5 minutes! In addition Vradal Ski centre runs 4 other lifts and prepares 15 pistes. The longest piste is 3600m and has a vertical drop of 473m. The snow production system makes it possible to open the ski centre in the middle of Desember and keep it in good condition until the middle of April. The slopes are designed for all levels of expertise -both beginners and advanced alpine/Telemark skiers and snowboarders. Good possibilities for off-piste skiing. The Vradal Ski centre offers ski rental and ski tuition. Children under 6 years can use the lifts free of charge. Toboggan slopes from the chalets. Modern snowshoes are rented out at the chalet. You get half a day free of charge.
Special interest holidays
In summer the Vradal offers a wide variety of mountain climbing and hiking opportunities. Free access to the tennis court. Exciting moose safari is free of charge for our guests. Special trails are developed for Nordic Walking. Bo Summer Land 65km away is the largest water theme park of Norway.
Travel
The nearest airports are Torp, Sandefjord (170km) and Kjevik by Kristiansand, 150km. From Oslo Airport it takes 3-4 hours to drive. The nearest railway station, B0 is 60km away and the bus station in Vradal 3km. The distances to harbours (ferry arrivals from Denmark): Larvik 155km and Kristian sand, 168km.
