Maroc Maison is situated within a newly built apartment complex called Mirador Golf close to Cabo Negro and the traditional coastal town of M’diq on the Mediterranean coast of Northern Morocco. It is a luxury first floor self catering apartment which sleeps 6 people, with an internal view overlooking the swimming pool and outside veranda. It has a fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities and is suitable for children. It is ideally situated for excursions or trekking into the Rif Mountains, day trips to the beach resorts and adventuring into the mysterious realms of the Medinas located in Tetouan or Tangier.

Coast/Beach
There are several beaches located just a short distance (approx 10 mins drive) from the apartment in M’diq, Cabo Negro and Marina Smir. Or you can head further slightly afield and explore the beaches of Cap Spartel and Asilah.
Golf
For keen golfers there is an 18 hole golf course a short car journey away at Cabo Negro Royal Golf Club. The course has great views of the Rif Mountains in one direction and in the other the Mediterranean coastline making a round of golf feel truly exhilarating.
Travel
Tangier Boukhalef Airport is approximately 1 hours drive from the apartment with direct flights Stansted and Heathrow and via Madrid from London Gatwick. Alternatively, fly to Malaga or Gibraltar and take the ferry to Ceuta (Sebta) via Algeciras.
Car hire is recommended. Alternatively taxis from Tangier airport one way 70 euros or we can arrange for someone to pick you up for 50 euros one way; Ceuta 35 euros one way.

Cabo Negro 1.5km. M'diq 2km. Marina Smir 5km.
M’diq a sleepy fishing town with a traditional medina, shops and restaurants is 2km.
Tetouan with bustling town with traditional souqs and kasbah is 10km.
Chefauouen, one of the prettiest towns in Morocco with an kasbah, great shopping, inspiring mountain views and lovely day walks is 65km
Ceuta, providing an Andalucian atmosphere with side street cafes and bars is 25km.
Tangier a bustling city with a traditional medina 50km.
Further details
Mirador Golf restaurant and shop are on site, with a larger supermarket, Marjane, close by. The Moroccan currency is Dirhams, DH or MAD. The nearest ATM is situated within the local supermarket. They can also be found along the roads leading into Tetouan, along the coast road through M’diq and at the airport.
The area is abundant with local Artisans selling traditional lamps, mirrors, rugs, blankets and paintings in the souqs of M’diq, Tetouan Tangier and Asilah. Visit the sleepy fishing town of M’diq only 10 minutes drive from the apartment. Wander around the streets, along the promenade, visit the beach or watch the world-go-by sipping mint tea in one of the beach side cafes. Tetouan Medina and Kasbah is a typically lively Moroccan town where you can experience the medina (old town) and visit the kasbah (old fort) only 20 minutes drive from the apartment.
There are an abundance of places to eat from the traditional souqs cafes, pizzerias and fresh fish on the promenade in M’diq to more luxurious restaurants around Marina Smir, where you take a camel ride along the beach, then enjoy a relaxing tea or ice-cream in the restaurants whilst watching the yachts come in to dock.
La Ferma, located next door to Mirador Golf offers horse riding along the beach and children’s pony riding. We can arrange a taxis from the airport or ferry port to take you to the apartment, car hire and a shopping basket for your arrival.

Booking notes
50% booking deposit is required on booking. The balance to to be paid four weeks before your stay. A refundable deposit of £150 to cover damages will be required prior to your arrival which will be returned within 2 weeks of your departure from the apartment. You will be greeted by our apartment caretaker who will give you the key, show you around the apartment and answer any queries you may have.

I have just spent three nights at the apartment and wished I had booked for longer. The apartment is lovely and the pool and garden area is what you would expect to find at a four star hotel. We had a lovely time, great for kids, would stay there again.

About the owner
I live in south east London with my wife and two children. William is four and Ava-Sophia is 8 months old. Myself and my wife met at university in 2003. We were doing a BSc Hons in Environmental Studies. During our placement year we went off to Borneo and studied orangutans in the deep forest of south Kalimantan. Since then we have travelled and worked abroad on numerous occasions including bird, giant tortoise and turtle monitoring in the Seychelles and bird monitoring in Australia. Since arriving back on British soil in 2000 we have both acquired environmental/conservation positions. I have my own business carrying out tree work and arboriculture and forestry training and my wife is the Chief executive of a greening charity called Trees for Cities based in south London.

We love coming on holiday to Maroc Maison because it is so different from England and a real break from the norm. Maroc Maison is ideally situated for excursions or trekking into the Rif Mountains, day trips to the beach resorts of Marina Smir or M’diq and adventuring into the mysterious realms of the Medinas located in Tetouan or Tangier. The area is abundant with local Artisans selling traditional lamps, mirrors, rugs, blankets and paintings in the souqs of M’diq, Tetouan and Tangier. The sleepy fishing town of M’diq is only 10 minutes drive from the apartment. Wander around the streets, along the promenade, visit the beach or watch the world-go-by sipping mint tea in one of the beach side cafes. There is a large outdoor water park situated 15 minutes away from the apartment.

There is a restaurant and shop on site and there is a wide choice of other restaurants and a supermarket within 10 minutes by car.
