Riad Linda is very centrally situated in a peaceful Derb 5 minutes walk away from the main Djemma el Fnaa square. The Riad has recently been completely renovated to a high standard, yet retains many traditional features - including a beautiful plant filled courtyard garden. Traditional finishes such as tadelakt and zillege have been used throughout. Riad Linda has a beautiful courtyard dining area, bhou (lounge) with fountain, fully fitted kitchen, 6 bedrooms (all en-suite) and a hammam (steam room). There is a totally private roof terrace ideal for breakfast or relaxing on sunloungers. Our experienced, English and French speaking staff at Riad Linda will provide a warm welcome with mint tea, and will help to organise trips and excursions further afield, and can arrange for reputable guides help you to navigate your way through the medina. We have our own Moroccan cook available to prepare fabulous traditional 3-course evening meals in-house including tajines, couscous or mixed grills

Changeover day
Subject to availability, bookings are welcome on any day and we are flexible with early arrivals and late departures.

Notes on accommodation
Individual rooms are available as well as whole riad bookings. All our beds have pure cotton sheets. Hairdryers are in all the rooms. All rooms in the riad are heated and have air-conditioning. Children are welcome as part of a whole riad booking. A cot and high chair are available. Laundry can be done on request for a small additional charge. Free wi - fi is available throughout the riad.
Accessibility
The riad is a 5 minute walk from the main square with car parking close by. We have 2 ground floor bedrooms one double, one with three single beds which are suitable for those with mobility problems.
Outside
The riad is constructed around an open courtyard which is filled with plants. From the roof terrace, there are stunning 360 degree views across the medina and towards the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. This is an ideal setting for enjoying breakfast, relaxing on a sun lounger and drinks in the evening whilst watching the sun go down. Our zilleges-tiled dining tables and chairs will also tempt you to evenings of candle-lit dinners under a star-filled African sky. Enjoy relaxing in our Beduin Tent.
Coast/Beach
Marrakech is inland and the nearest resorts of Essaouria and Oulidia are 2 hours drive away. In Marrakech there is Oasia Water Park, Nikki Beach and Plage Rouge for you to enjoy!
Golf
There are 3 golf courses a 10 minute taxi ride away and 5 more are planned for further afield. Our manager will be happy to help with bookings.
Skiing
There is skiing available in the nearby Atlas Mountains.
Special interest holidays
Guests can enjoy a painting holiday at the riad. Marrakech with its vivid colours and intricate decoration everywhere is an ideal location for any artist.
We also run cookery courses at the Riad. Guests are taken to the local market where locally grown, often organic produce is available. An informal and fun day follows with our cook teaching you the skills of Moroccan cookery as passed down through the generations. The best part is afterwards when you get to taste the fruits of your labours!
Excursions can also be arranged to make your stay in Marrakech even more memorable. This includes trekking in the High Atlas mountains (either day trips or overnight stays), the beautiful Ourika Valley and also Essaouira (the location of many Hollywood films). We use experienced and reliable guides who will also organise transfers to and from the riad.
Travel
Marrakech airport is a 15 minute drive away. We can arrange transfers for you to and from the airport. Car hire is not necessary. Marrakech has good rail links with the rest of the country and you can travel directly to Fez and also Tangiers on the famous Marrakech Express!
Distances
The riad is peacefully situated in a quiet derb a few minutes walk away from the lively souks and the Place Djemma el Fna, the beating heart of the city with its storytellers, henna artists, snake charmers & tooth pullers. The El Badi and Bahia Palaces are a short stroll away. The Musee D' Marrakech & the Ben Youssef Medersa are also nearby. Petit taxis are also located nearby to take you to the world famous Marjorelle (Yves St Laurent) gardens and the new town for interesting designer shops.
Further details
The riad is British owned and we have friendly English speaking staff on hand to answer any questions and organise visits and excursions. We are happy to organise private parties on request with dancers, singers & musicians. We also have our own henna artist! Marrakech has many interesting and varied restaurants and we are happy to recommend our favourites which include, The Grand Cafe de La Poste (great for cocktails and star spotting!), Kachmara, Le Cantanzaro and Casanova in the new town. In the medina we particularly like Cafe Arabe, Le Foundouk and the Kosy Bar. Of course, many of guests prefer to dine in the riad in our romantic courtyard dining area or on the terrace under the stars. There is also a little general store at the end of our derb that sells anything you could possibly want! Supermarkets are a short taxi ride away.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% of the rental fee is payable to secure your booking. The balance is then due on arrival. A discount of 10% per night is available for over 7 nights. Payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer or PayPal.

We had a great stay here at Riad Linda. The Riad is very well situated at the end of a traditional narrow street just a few minutes from the main square: Place Jemaa El Fna.
The Riad itself is clean, fresh and very comfortable, we felt very safe and secure. You can buy everything you need in the shops round about and the concierge will help if you need it. The bedrooms are a good size and beautifully presented with en-suite facilities. There's a good kitchen if you want to cook and plenty of room to lounge around in the sun on the terraces. We can highly recommend Riad Linda.

Riad Linda is about 5 minutes walk from the main square of Marrakech. There are other Riads in the same area which so there are normally other tourists around. The local owners have put lots of large plant pots in the streets and keep the streets clean and tidy.

Hi, I'm Linda & I live in Edinburgh, UK I love Marrakech for the sunshine and the warmth and charm of its people and now Ryanair fly direct from Edinburgh!
We first found our riad in 2008 & have spent the last few years restoring this lovely old building to its former beauty. We wants to combine modern comforts yet maintain the character and charm of this old house. We employed local craftsmen & tradesmen & used traditional finishes throughout where possible. We now have Riad Linda available to welcome guests who are looking for a holiday in an exotic location yet is within a few hours travel from most European destinations.
I always aim to respond to enquires very quickly. My usual response rate is within 2 hours.

It is a country of warm, welcoming people, stunning beauty, variety and is an all the year round destination that enjoys an extremely pleasant climate. It has sandy beaches to the north and west, the breathtaking Atlas mountains, and a number of lively cities, in particular Marrakech, also known as the Pink City. Marrakech is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city that offers a wide range of cafes, restaurants, night-clubs, bars, shops, cultural events and art galleries. There is also a good chance of rubbing shoulders with celebrities, given the thriving film industry and annual film festival.The Sex and the City girls were in Marrakech filming for Sex and the City 2.
