Fancy experiencing life in the unchanged 1200 year-old city of Fez? To get the true Fez experience it is vital to stay in the charming and friendly medina and Dar Anisis is located at the very centre of this. A world heritage site and largest car free urban area in the world, only the swooping birds and the call of the minarets will disturb your thoughts. The house is quirky, unique and has been tastefully renovated. It sleeps 2/3 (double bed and sofa bed) or it can be combined with the apartment above (with which the roof terrace is shared) to sleep up to 5 people. It's centrally located and about a 10 minute walk from Bab Boujeloud and the nearest taxi ranks with the shops, restaurants, local markets, bakery and hammam just minutes away. It forms an ideal base for exploring Fez and the surrounding sites of Meknes, Voloubilis, Sefrou and Ifrane. The neighbour can even serve you with local home made Fassi cooking which can enjoy in the comfort of the house.

No restrictions on changeover day - will only be limited by other bookings. Departure time 12pm. If there are other bookings for the same day.

| Other: | The apartment has access to the stunning multi-level roof terrace (which is shared with 1 other apartment). You will also have access to the Menzeh (terrace room) which has relaxing chairs and a dining table. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All linen and towels provided. For long-duration stays, linen will be changed and the apartment cleaned every 5th day. |

Accessibility
There are 42 steps in the house and some parts of the staircase are narrow. The whole of Fez medina is also rather steep and narrow with no mechanised forms of transport (the nearest car access is 10 minutes away). Therefore, unfortunately, neither the house nor Fez is ideal for those with impaired mobility.
Outside
Access to beautiful roof terrace. The top terrace has stunning 360C views over the whole city. The lower terrace is secluded and ideal for sunbathing. A luxury Spa is available to Dar Anisis guests in a nearby Riad. A number of hotels in the New Town have swimming pools that can be used by non-guests for a fee of around 100Dh. Full details available in the house.
Travel
Fez Saiss is the nearest airport and is located 20 Km SW of Fez. There is a bus (20Dh) that takes you to the New Town or take a Taxi (120-150Dh). Alternatively we can arrange a taxi to meet you there. Ryanair flies to Fez from Girona, Alicante, Marseilles, Milan, Frankfurt and Bruxelles. Girona and Alicante especially make convenient stop-overs on route to Fez. Alternatively AtlasBlue (Royal Air Maroc) flies Garwick to Fez twice a week. From Paris Jet4u will deliver you to Fez.
Distances
Meknes is another beautiful city which can be visited (along with the Roman ruins of Voloubilis) in a day trip from Fez. Meknes is 1 hour by train from Fez. If you want to visit small villages, Sefrou is less than 45 taxi ride away. The Swiss-style town of Ifrane (70km away) is an ideal retreat if into the mid Atlas. However there is so much to do in Fez you will probably be reluctant to go anywhere else.
