This stunning riad-style house is in an ideal location in the heart of the ancient walled medina in Essaouira. 90 mins drive from Marrakech and Agadir Airport The house is next door to the Hamman made famous by Orson Wells and is beautifully presented, traditionally restored by local craftsmen. There are 3 double and 1 single bedroom with hand-painted Marrakech style furniture. Living room with large fireplace and hand-made Arabesque furniture. 2 bathrooms finished in Tadelakt (marble plaster) with chrome fittings. The dining area has Berber-style seating. The kitchen has Tadelakt work surfaces and is fully equipped. The large terrace is split-level with panoramic views of the sea and across the medina to the beach and surrounding hills. There are Spice Markets, food stalls and traditional souks on the doorstep. The main square with all the restaurants and bars is a 5 min walk away. The beach is also a few minutes walk away, where you can relax at bars and restaurants.

Notes on accommodation
There are 2 fires in the living areas which are sometimes needed in the winter months.
The traditional Moroccan house keeps cool naturally in the warmer seasons due to its thick walls.
A caretaker is always on hand to help in any way.

The house is not suitable for wheelchair use.
Outside
There is a large terrace with sun-loungers for private sun-bathing.
There is a barbecue on the terrace.

There is endless unspoilt coastline to the north and south of the town. The nearest beach is 5 minutes walk away and facilitates water sports, horseriding quad-biking etc. There are also a good selection of bars and restaurants.

Nearest Airport: Marrakech or Agadir at 150 kilometres.
Transport can be arranged from the airports or other places.
Distances
There is plenty to see in the historical town.
The souks in the medina sell traditional Moroccan-ware.
Essaouira is a fishing port and is renowned for its delicious fish restaurants.

We had a fantastic holiday. And your riad is absolutely stunning! Weather was absolutely perfect, the views from your roof terrace so soothing......we spent a lot of time up there! Your riad was perfectly situated, we were close enough to the beach and then also to the souks and stalls......the friendliness and relaxed atmosphere was wonderful. So I just wanted to say thank you.....from Carl, Kei and myself. We will be back at some stage!
