At ground floor level is a generous open plan salon/reading room with books and iPod dock, a tea kitchen and a WC. On the 1st floor is a master suite a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and small dressing room/nursery, a further double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a twin room with ensuite facilities. another separate WC. The property's first roof terrace is walled and completely private. Overlooked only by a light and airy salon which boasts a fireplace, sat TV, DVD player and a cosy dining area. Fully equipped kitchen. Separate laundry room with washing machine an outdoor shower to cool off under and a table and chairs for al fresco eating. A second roof terrace is dedicated to sunbathing. From here you can see not only the roof tops of Essaouira!

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per night / week in UK pounds. Discounts available for occupation by two adults or less. 10% discount for bookings longer than 15 days. Long lets by negotiation. Please note that at Easter, during the Gnaoua Festival, throughout August and over Christmas and New Year we accept minimum rentals of 7 nights only.

| Bedrooms: | On the first floor are two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. The master bedroom has a small dressing room, the other bedrooms have wardrobes. All are equipped with hairdryers and Egyptian cotton bed linen. |
| Bathrooms: | Ensuite bathroom (bath with shower over) and dressing room to master bedroom, ensuite shower rooms with WC to the other bedrooms. There is a further guest WC on the ground floor and another on the first floor as well as an outdoor shower on the terrace. |
| Kitchen: | The property boasts a kitchen as well as a kitchenette. There are three fridges in total, one hob and oven, a filter coffee machine as well as a Nespresso machine, a kettle and full sets of cutlery and crockery. There is no microwave or dishwasher. |
| Utility Room: | Washing machine. |
| Living Rooms: | The ground floor reception room has an ipod dock and plenty of books.The sitting room on the second floor adjoining the roof terrace and kitchen is equipped with a Satellite TV, DVD player, CD player, plenty of DVDs, CDs and board games, also WiFi. |

Fine quality linen, towels and fluffy robes are are provided as are beach towels. There is a daily maid service. Breakfast is included and other excellent local dishes can be provided at very reasonable rates by direct negotiation with our housekeeper. |

Notes on accommodation
Moroccan houses are built in such a way that they stay cool in the summer heat therefore air conditioning or fans are unnecessary in Essaouira. In the rare event of cooler weather or very occasional brief Atlantic storms in winter there are electric radiators available as well as extra warm blankets.
A multitude of internet cafes are close by.
Mobile phone reception is limited to certain areas within the house such as the roof terraces and the front door.
The property is not child proofed and is unsuitable for more than one baby or toddler.
Accessibility
From front door to second roof terrace, the property is spread over four floors. This therefore makes it unsuitable for anyone, young or old, who is unsteady on their legs.
Outside
There are two roof terraces, one outside the sitting room with table and chairs and another with a distant sea view dedicated entirely to sun bathing!
Coast/Beach
The long golden beach of Essaouira is just five minutes walk away.
Golf
An 18 hole golf course is currently being built. There is a 9 hole golf course designed by Gary Player.
Special interest holidays
We can arrange guided shopping tours, cooking classes and visits to the hammam as well as quad biking, camel or horse riding and trekking, taxi transport and excursions.
Travel
There is in fact an International airport in Essaouira, however, currently only flights from Paris or Casablanca land there. Marrakech is approx 170 kms (2.5 hours by car, 3.5 by bus) and Agadir a similar distance away.
We can organise taxi transport to and from any airport or indeed anywhere else.
Distances
Our riad is in a prime location within the medina of Essaouira. Although quiet and calm, it is only minutes to the buzzing town square and the many fabulous shops and restaurants.
Further details
Essaouira is a great place for sporting enthusiasts. It is Africa's wind and kite surfing capital. Surfing, sailing, trekking, fishing, horse and camel riding are also all available nearby. Football and beach volley ball are always going on on or by the beach and anyone is welcome to join.
There are various spas, yoga classes, many artisans and art galleries and, of course, plenty of wonderful gnaoua music. The main square with its many cafes beckons for some interesting people watching and the beautiful beach invites some serious sun bathing.
Booking notes
Minimum booking is generally three nights although during certain times of the year such as Christmas, New Year, Easter, Gnaoua Festival and August the minimum booking period is one week. A 25% deposit is payable on booking with the balance due no less than one month before the start of the booking.
There is a £100 damage deposit payable which is returned within 10 days of departure providing no major damage has occurred. Discounts are available for occupation by two adults or less.

Recently got back from staying in Essaouira at this really brilliant house. We couldn’t believe our luck when we first arrived. What a find! Very good value for money too.
I particularly liked the fact that it had been thought through so well. At no point did we feel cramped or crowded in. The cleanliness was also impressive and the location of the house makes popping out to the beach or the square very easy.
Essaouira also ticked all our boxes: great weather, beautiful beach, very friendly people, very nice general atmosphere and some very good food. We are very happy to recommend this!
