Access to the area is via Tangier Airport 1hr 15 mins drive, or from Spain a 35 min ferry crossing from Algesiras to Ceuta. Marina Smir is next door and is operated by Marbella Marina it is a hub of activity in the summer with bars and restaurants. Marina Beach has a private beach, 3 swimming pools, bars and restaurants. there is a water park 5mins from the apartment a golf course at Cabo Negro and more Golf under construction.

Golf
Cabo Negro Royal Golf Club is a ten minute drive from the apartment. It was designed by Hawtree & Sons and was extended to 18 holes in 1992 by Cabell B. Robinson. The course is 18 holes (6364 metres) - Par 72. “This course is 18 holes of luxury. The front 9 which runs by the seaside is tight with strategic bunkers and mainly straight fairways but the back 9 opens out into full view of the Rif Mountains which is truly spectacular. The great thing is though that there is no one on this course - You have to have a caddy and it helps if you speak French. The greens are in very good nick and so are the fairways but some of the approaches are very tight, which is a good test.” – Tim Sandars (taken from golftoday.co.uk)
The other good course in the region is the Royal Course at Tangier. approx. 1 hours drive.
Travel
Tangier international airport is 1 hr drive on the new highway completed in 2008.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Marina Beach is one of the best beach front developments in the area. it has been designed and maintained to a high standard. The location of Marina Smir (5 minutes away) Cabo Negro golf course and the Royal Palace all were factors that made this a good choice of location. the Atlas mountains are also in Reach for the more adventurous. The city of Tetouan is much bigger than you might imaging and the walled Medina is fascinating.
Unique benefits of the property
Marina Beach has 24 hr security and is very safe environment as is the rest of the area. People are helpful and friendly, and getting around is easy. the apartment is very large with lots of space for comfortable living.
