Montrose is a vibrant town on Scotland’s east coast, the majority of which is built out on the sandy spur a mile in width that stretches out across the Montrose Basin. There used to be a royal castle here but it was raised to the ground by William Wallace in 1297, and not even the ruins remain visible today. Montrose cottages offer you the chance to stay in what has become a vast nature reserve offering incredible beauty and wildlife to its visitors.
