Things to See
If you visit the town you absolutely have to see the cathedral and its wonderful baroque architectural features. If there is one thing that Italy has no shortage of it’s churches, and the church here of the Madonna delle Grazie is a good one to explore. Monterotondo villas make a great base for getting out and exploring the region whilst any of the apartments in Monterotondo will gave you a taste of life in the centre of town. The Palazzo Orsini has some wonderful frescos that you can view and the local archaeological museum is filled with ancient artefacts relating to the old medieval town. While you are in the region there is really no excuse for not going into Rome itself to see all of the major tourist attractions. At least you can leave the city behind and return to your peaceful holiday rentals in Monterotondo when you want some peace and quiet.
