This high-spec top floor penthouse apartment with full air-conditioning was completed in 2008 and is bright, airy and extremely relaxing. It is part of a small development with only 18 apartments and comes with a private parking space, shared use of a large swimming pool and comfortable sunbeds, an outside barbecue area with a lovely shaded seating area which also benefits from the breathtaking views of the bay. Views of the Fjord and the citadel of Kotor from the 2 terraces of the apartment are breathtaking and there is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the balcony sipping a drink, watching the sun go down. Tivat Airport is only a 15 min drive away or Dubrovnik airport is 90 mins. The waterfront of the Fjord, the beautiful town of Kotor, shops, bars, and restaurants are only a short walk away. Nearby are Tivat Marina, Sveti Stefan, several National Parks, Lakes and Tara the worlds 2nd largest Canyon.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed air-conditioning and separate terrace view onto the Fjord.
Bedroom 2 has a twin beds and air-conditioning.
There is a double sofa bed in the living room.
All rooms have shutters so total darkness can be achieved if you want!
Modern, neutrally decorated, fully tiled bathroom with a wc, wash hand basin and shower. There is plenty of shelf space for toiletries and the all essential mirror above the sink! There is also a washing machine in the bathroom in case you need one.
The well laid out, spacious kitchen is well equipped with everything you need including a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, kettle and all the utensils you need from bottle openers to salad bowls!
Large open plan living/dining room with doors onto both balconies. Dine indoors at the 6 seater dinning table or for alfresco dining use the table and chairs on the balcony. There is a large sofa bed and armchair to relax in and enjoy the views.
Towels and linen are included for use in the apartment. You may wish to bring beach towels for the pool or beach. The property is cleaned and linen changed on changeover days. More frequent changes can be arranged at an additional cost if required.

About the area
Although the apartment itself is child friendly, the bay area is surrounded by mountains, and as such there are stairs down from the car park to the building, and from the building to the waterfront that may be a challenge for those with pushchairs or mobility problems. That said, we have young children ourselves and they adore the apartment and the area.
Within the grounds, there is a large swimming pool, terrace and lawn area with plenty of space for kids to play, and a barbecue area with plenty of seating for large groups, all for the exclusive use of residents. This is in addition to the private parking enjoyed by visitors to the apartment, and all within 5 minutes walk of the water.
The apartment is a 5 min walk to the beautiful clear waters of Kotor bay and there are many little pebbled beaches along the waterfront to lay out on. If you prefer larger sandier beaches there are several within a short drive of the apartment. There is Jaz beach which is the most famous (where the Rolling Stones and Madonna played) or there is Plavi Horizonti with its restaurant, playground, showers and sunbeds and umbrellas for hire is perfect for families.

How to get there
Tivat airport is only 10 minutes drive away on the far side of a mountain so no plane noise! Dubrovnik airport is about 90 mins drive (allowing time to cross the border), about 70km.
Would recommend hiring a car as there are so many things to see, though transfers from Dubrovnik can be arranged (we can give you the number of the local car hire firm we use when we visit who do excellent rates for our guests and if you prefer not to drive our meet and greet lady can arrange a transfer for you).
Muo is 25 mins walk/5 mins by car from the UNESCO heritage Citadel of Kotor. Buses also run near to the apartment and taxis can be found in plentiful supply. It is worth visiting Sveti Stefan (1 hour drive), the Tara Canyon (do a day trip), Perast (30 min drive), the many National Parks etc. The beauty of Montenegro is you can do as much or as little as you please.
The town of Kotor with its many restaurants, bars, nightlife and shops is only a 25 min walk away. There are also some bars and restaurants locally in Muo itself which are only a 5 min walk from the apartment. Large supermarkets are a short drive away for a big shop, banks are in plentiful supply, visa and mastercard are widely accepted and the local currency is the euro. Montenegro itself is a beautiful country which is steeped in history and has magnificent scenery. You can spend your time on excursions around the bay and into the inland of Montenegro. Details of local tour operators can be provided.

About the Owner
We are an Irish couple with three young children aged, 5, 4 and 3 years old. All three have been to Montenegro and they love it.

Why this location?
We first came to Montenegro in 2005 and loved it and have gone back every year since. We bought our apartment in Kotor View because it is such a relaxing, quiet and stunning place to spend a holiday. It is easy to get to from all over Europe with flights to Tivat and Dubrovnik and once you are there you can do as much or as little as you choose.
What are the unique benefits of the property?
The property is part of a small development of only 18 apartments so it never feels busy. There is a lovely community feel amongst the owners and with excellent, well kept communal areas such as the BBQ area and the pool.
