Situated closed to north gate of the old town the apartment of 1400sq.ft (130sq.m) overlooks a lovely square with a water fountain feature. Across the square is the steps to the mountain trails of Mount Lovcen that towers over the town. On the ground floor, senior citizens play chess and draughts and you can explore the old town with its narrow alleyways, numerous squares that contain shops, stalls, cafes, restaurants and bars to suit every taste. There are churches, stone palaces in this well preserved and historic place and it is easy to see why it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Outside the old town there are beaches, markets and a magnificent deep water marina that welcomes the huge Adriatic cruise ships, on a daily basis during the summer months. The apartment has been restored to a very high standard with an en-suite master bedroom, high ceilings, fully air-conditioned throughout, Satellite TV, a seperate guest toilet and a huge kitchen/living area.

Accessibility
This second floor apartment is NOT suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility problems. No lift.
Coast/Beach
The marina that welcomes huge Adriatic liners on a daily basis during the summer months is just across the road from the old town. Dobrota beach is about fifteen minutes walk. There are numerous little beaches dotted all along the coast.
Skiing
Skiing is available inland, 2.5 hrs drive approx.
Travel
Tivat Airport is about 15km/15 minutes drive and is served by Montenegro Airlines and JAT. Dubrovnik Airport is 80km away (1hr 15 mins drive) and is served by Aer Lingus, British Airways, flybe.com, Croatian Airways, Thompsonfly and Westernair. Car hire is recommended if you wish to travel around Montenegro. If you wish to stay locally in Kotor for your visit, transfers can be arranged to and from airports.
Distances
The apartment is centrally located in the 'traffic free' old town. The marina is just across the road from the old town. The seaside town of Budva is 25km. Central Dubrovnik is a drive of about an hour and a half. The Capital of Montenegro -Podgorica - is about a three hour drive.

Shops, supermarkets banks, ATM's, cafes, restaurants, internet access are all available within 3 minutes walk. The old town is surrounded by a 4 meter high wall and the town can be entered by three gates. (There is no traffic in the old town). This apartment is located beside the northern gate of the city. The apartment overlooks St Lawrences Square and the square has a nice water fountain. The square is dominated by St Mary's Church which dates from 1221. Opposite the the apartment on the square is the first steps of one the paths that leads up Mount Lovcen which towers over the town. Kotor old town (Stari Grad) is like a fairytale, a part of world heritage that is protected by UNESCO. The old town represents a unique medieval milieu of small winding streets and twelve squares.

20% non refundable deposit on booking. Balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to arrival together with a breakage/damage deposit of £100 which is refundable at the end of your visit. A managing agent will meet you on arrival and show you around the apartment and will be available to address any particular needs you may have during your stay.
