Newly renovated and furnished, this old stone house has stunning views from all windows and its garden, of the Boka Kotorska Fjord. Views include the 2 famous islands St. George and Our Lady of the Rock. The house is on the front line (separated from the fjord by the coastal road). It has its own parking and patio. Updated with a modern luxury feel and all facilities to make you comfortable. This is the most exclusive place to stay and is close to the restaurants and bars that open in the summer months as well as being only 10 minutes away from the renowned Stari Mlini restaurant and 20 minutes away from the ancient city of Kotor. Kotor attracts many cruise ships who delight in its ancient streets with its cafes, restaurants, shops, banks and churches.

Kitchen: Newly fitted open plan kitchen with hob, cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, toaster, electric kettle, Iron. All crockery, cutlery, glasses and pans provided. Log burning stove. Air-con for ground floor.
Utility Room: Cupboard in bathroom contains cleaning equipment and ironing board.
Living Rooms: Modern bright newly fitted lounge with sea views. Two sofas with coffee table. Dining table seating for 6. Flat screen TV, Satellite receiver, DVD/CD player with 10 DVDs provided.
Other: Table available for sitting outside.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All linen supplied, with the exception of beach towels. Apartment cleaned weekly and managed by local English agent. You will be met by the agent at a pre-arranged location and they will familiarise you with the apartment. Optional extras also available.

 

Notes on accommodation
Non-smoking house. Air-con can provide heating also in winter to supplement the log burner in the open-plan kitchen/lounge. Due to water shortages affecting many parts of Montenegro in the summer months including the whole of Perast, we have a 300ltr water tank installed for the exclusive use of our property.

Accessibility
Children welcome, but please note that the stairs are steep and that the fjord is only metres from the house.

Coast/Beach
The house is separated from the sea by the local road only. There are many small beaches and jetties available locally for sunbathing, swimming or if you prefer a spot of fishing. The Adriatic coast is a 20 minute drive with the famous sandy Jaz beach near Budva or if you prefer quieter sandy beaches, these can also be found on Lustica Peninsula with its beautiful wild landscape 45 minutes drive from Perast.

Many people do come to Perast to paint and take advantage of the excellent photographic opportunities.

• B.A from Gatwick daily May- October then three times a week in Winter.
• Thomson Fly from Luton and Manchester three times a week May-October.
• FlyBe from Birmingham three times a week May-October.
• Flights to Tivat airport Montenegro. About 16 miles from Perast.
• Avro weekly flights from Manchester and Gatwick on a Tuesday.
• Jat from Heathrow on Saturdays May-September.
• Car hire is available at the airports and is strongly recommended.

Distances
Kotor - Medieval walled city (20 minutes by car).
Budva - Ancient town and beautiful beaches (45 minutes).
Herceg Novi - Shopping and beautiful old town (45 minutes).
Cetinje - Historic capital (1.5 hour).
Podgorica - New capital (2 hours).

Further details
There is a folder in the house where we are keeping recommendations for local visits and maps which you are welcome to use and add to. Perast has a village store where most essential items can be purchased. It stocks fresh bread, fruit, yogurts etc. There is also a post office, and several restaurants, bars and cafes. Wining and dining is very cheap in comparison to the rest of Europe. Larger supermarkets can be found near to Kotor.
The old walled town of Kotor, which prohibits access to vehicles, houses banks, churches, shops, an abundance of restaurants and street cafes, internet cafe and tour operators. Boat trips can be taken from the Marina which is situated just outside the Old Town.
Skadar lake, one of Europe's largest which stretches down into Albania, is approx 90 mins drive away and is well worth a visit... there are some wonderful places to explore en route. Little villages off the beaten track. A trip to the natural beauty of Lovcen is recommended. Montenegro is a land of much beauty and diversity...well worth the venture.

25% non-refundable deposit required with booking. Balance of payment is due 8 weeks before the start of the holiday. Security deposits to be paid on arrival.
Cancellation refunds: Up to 8 weeks – no cancellation charge, 4-8 weeks – 50% of rate refunded, 2-4 weeks – 25% of rate refunded, Less than 2 weeks – no refund.
