This self catering holiday apartment is ideally located on the 1st floor (American 2nd) and close to the main square, restaurants, shops, cafes, Marina and beaches. Kotor boasts year round interest and is well known for hosting numerous festivals. This 140sqm newly renovated apartment is part of an old Venetian stone building with high ceilings and spacious rooms. Stepping into this magnificent apartment is like diving into the past, as the building was formerly a first class hotel frequented by many affluent and prominent individuals. The apartment overlooks Kotor’s narrow alleys, streets and charming stone palaces, villas and squares. Kotor is sandwiched between the majestic Mount Lovcen and the sea, it contains churches, museums, Venetian architecture and a cathedral which dates back to 1166.

The above prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds, however rentals for less than 7 days are available other than the months of July/August.
Changeover day
Flexible. Normal check in/out times are 12 noon and 4pm however, again this can be flexible depending on arrival/departure of other guests.

Notes on accommodation
Central heating radiators are provided as well as air-conditioning units, so the apartment is comfortably cool in summer and warm in winter. Apartment and town are safe for children as there is no car access within the town and the apartment is all on one level. The terrace has outside louvre doors which can be shut if child access is a concern. There is a cot and high chair provided for young children. The main square is a WiFi hotspot and due to the close proximity of the apartment to the square, internet access is available from within the apartment as well with the use of prepaid vouchers.

Coast/Beach
The Bay of Kotor is dotted with numerous small beaches from within a 10 minute walk away where swimming and sunbathing is possible. Larger beaches such as the beautiful Kalardovo beach is a 10 minute drive, alternatively there are boat trips available from the marina to some of the inaccessible bays and coves.
Skiing
Kolasin and Zabljak are both great for skiing during the winter months and have facilities for renting of skis. They are also both great during the summer months for rambling, mountain biking as is Durmitor National Park. Otherwise how about a spot of white water rafting in the Tara Canyon, the 2nd deepest canyon in the world.
Travel
Tivat airport is 20km away (15 minute drive) served by Montenegro Airlines with direct flights from London Gatwick. Tivat is also served by JAT airways. Dubrovnik airport (Croatia) is 80km away, 1 hour 15 minute drive, served by BA, aerlingus, flybe.com, Croatian Airways, Westernair and Thompsonfly (low cost airline from Luton) plus flights from Gatwick. Podgorica in Montenegro also receives flights from London Heathrow via Belgrade with JAT. Transfers can also be arranged to/from the airport.
Distances
Centrally located vacation home with the Marina just outside the walls of the Town, about 70m. Perast is 10km away. Aman Resorts Island Hotel of Sveti Stefan is 35km. Budva is 25km. Skarda Lake is 70km. Dubrovnik Old Town (Croatia) is approx 85km away, Cetinje the Old Royal Capital is 50km. Skiing is available 2.5 hours inland in Kolasin and Zabljak (Durmitor).
Further details
Kotor is the main town in the Boka Bay region and therefore the restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, banks, cash points and tourist facilities are all at hand. The town is a maize of cobbled streets and alleys with beautiful hidden squares and piazzas at every turn. Boat trips are available from the marina outside where there is also a daily fresh food market selling organic produce, which in the evenings, are replaced by stalls selling jewellery and trinkets. From within the Old Town are the steps up the old fortress for some of the most stunning views of the Boka Bay and the fjords which are the deepest in the Mediterranean. The Boka Kotorska Bay is also officially on the list as one of 'The Most Beautiful Bays in the World'. Other activities include water sports, cycling, fishing, swimming, walking, paragliding and sailing lessons. Due to its history the building is listed within the top 100 for its historical importance, making this vacation rental one of the most exclusive holiday homes in Montenegro.
Booking notes
20% non-refundable deposit required on booking. Final payment must be made at least 4 weeks prior to arrival date. You will be met by the managing agent who will show you around the apartment and will also request £100 breakage/damage deposit which is refundable at the end of your stay.

We stayed with friends in this apartment for 2 weeks last summer and we had the most wonderful holiday. The apartment is in a great location being right in the heart of everything with the marina and wonderful restaurants and cafes. As for the apartment we couldn't believe our eyes when we stepped in! It was so amazing and spacious, and had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you once again!
My family has stayed in this apartment in June 2007 - it was one of the highlights of our trip through the Balkans! The apartment is new and clean, with all necessary features / appliances that one might need. It is right in the heart of old Kotor, but close to the main gate, Next time we will be in Kotor, I am sure we will be staying at this apartment again. Thank you for the great times!
