A Troubled Past
Though the region now is recognised for its beauty and wonderful atmosphere, it wasn’t always such a good place to be. This was a medieval city with darkness to it, a place of witchcraft, where strangers should beware. It was in fact the site of witch trials during the renaissance. You will never know for sure if any of the holiday villas in Triora have any links to this dark past, but you will be able to see remnants of the medieval city still visible in the 21st Century town.
Triora self-catering holiday home villas are set in an enchanting village nestled in the Maritime Alps. It’s an old medieval settlement with a number of fascinating stories to tell – it was here that Italy’s last ever witch trials were held some 500 years ago. The scenery is nothing short of spectacular and you’ll be able to admire sublime views of the mountains from your Triora apartment. The entire region is perfectly suited to people with a taste for adventure – the hills around Molini di Triora holiday rentals offer numerous trails for hiking and mountain biking. Along the way you’ll discover yet more ancient hilltop villages and some incredible natural scenery.
One of the best things about Molini di Triora self-catering accommodation is the destination’s versatility. This rugged landscape is just over half an hour from the Mediterranean coast and the stylish Italian Riviera. The resort of Sanremo is approximately 45 minutes from Triora holiday accommodation and is known for its vibrant flowers, sustained by a mild year-round climate. There are also a host of activities available here, with a golf course, casino and fabulous beaches close at hand. There are immaculate sandy beaches all along this stretch of the Ligurian coast – Arma di Taggia is yet another highlight and lies about 40 minutes from Molini di Triora holiday home rentals.
Weather
Summers at Triora holiday rentals tend to be warm and try, with plenty of sunshine. Winter usually brings snowfall to the peaks around the village.
Best Time to Visit
Every September there’s a mushroom festival in the countryside around Molini di Triora self-catering accommodation – this is also a great time to explore the wonderful landscape here.
Reaching Triora
Triora self-catering holiday home villas and apartments are about 90 minutes from the closest international airport at Nice (NCE).
