Situated in the south of the island, only a few minutes away by car to reach the 5 most spectacular and popular beaches in the south. Blue Grotto - reached by boat, Wied iz zurrieq, Ghar lapsi (both very wonderful for diving), B'bugia & Marsaxlokk -romantic atmosphere in the evening, nice and exquisite restaurants. Very safe for children. Nearby villages to visit are Qrendi, Zurrieq, Safi, Kirkop, Siggiewi, Luqa, Gudja and Ghaxaq. Mqabba Fireworks Club are the world champions (won in 2006/2007). Between 9 - 15 Jun and the 8-15 Aug the village celebrates 2 big traditional feasts with food, church processions, street decorations and lights. In summer similar feasts are celebrated around the island's villages, all for free. Places of interests in the village are the Parish Church, Vincenti Tower, Mentna Catacombs and small chapels around the village. Mqabba is a traditional Maltese village surrounded with quarries. Nice to experience day-to-day life in its simplest way.

Changeover day
For the changeover day just tell us at what time you are arriving on the 1st day at the airport and at what time you are departing on the last day so that the cleaners will be ready by the time other people will arrive.

| Utility Room: | Usage as a laundry with iron & iron board & 2 basins. Table & plastic chairs can be taken out on the roof. |
| Living Rooms: | 3 & 2 separate cane seater. wall unit with stereo. Very romantic for a quite night in. All Chinese style. |
| Other: | Underneath the stairs (downstairs ideal as children's play area). Children must be looked after. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bed linen & quilts provided. Only own big bath towels needed. Linen & small towels are changed once a week. This should be discussed with the house keeper. |
Notes on accommodation
Backyard and side way small yard with kitchen.
For safety sake no children should be left alone where there are the stairs and on the rooftop. They should always be accompanied. Always lock the access door to the roof keep the key hidden away from the children.

Coast/Beach
Wied iz-Zurrieq, Blue Grotto (10 mins by car). Ghar Lapsi (10 mins by car). B'Bugia Pretty sandy beach (15 mins by car). Delimara, Marsaxlokk 'the fishing village', an Qajjenza Bay (20 mins by car). Marsascala Bay (25 mins by car). Weather _ November - February mild, cold, rain and also nice cool days. March till June very nice, even for swimming. July -September -hot. October, going mild. Sundays a big open air market is held at Marsaxlokk. Beaches in the north of the island (35 mins by car).
Golf
A big and popular area for golf is Marsa. By car only (15 minutes), go straight through. By bus 20/25 minutes, drop you exactly in front of the entrance.
Special interest holidays
Horse riding is at Marsa Sports grounds (15 mins by car). Horse races are held every Friday, Saturday & Sunday during summer under the artificial lights. During Autumn, Winter & Spring, races are held on Saturday & Sunday afternoon.
Diving and the Sabaqua club.
Up sailing is very popular as well.
Travel
Luqa Airport (10 mins by car).
You will be met at the airport by Anthony Vella. Transfer from the Airport to the house & vice versa by himself.
We highly recommend to hire a car to feel free to travel all over the island.
Just in case you don't want to hire a car, a tour leader service is always available and your own cost. This can be discussed on arrival.
For those who love walking, it's a very nice area to get around. Discover the old, narrow streets of the village or the countryside.
Distances
Bus terminus in the village square (5 mins walk).
Valletta - the capital city (30 mins by bus, 20 mins by car).
Mdina - the silent city. This should be visited by night (25 mins by car).
Rabat & Dingli- Historical places (25 mins by car).
Isla, Birgu & Bormla-Historical cities (20 mins by car). A massive open air market is held in Birgu every Tuesday.
Sliema, St Julians, Qawra & Bugibba- Beaches & nightlife (25 mins by car).
St Paul's Bay & Mellieha Bay-fantastic sandy beaches (40 mins).
Further details
Around the island, loads to explore and sightseeing. Sightseeing buses are available.
Interesting places to explore are Hagar Qim & Imnajdra neolithic temples. (10 mins by car).
Hal- Saflieni Temples (15 mins).
Booking notes
Rental prices originally quoted in UK Pounds. Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of 50% deposit (by e-mail /post). The remaining balance has to be made 6 weeks prior to arrival (receipt by email/post). A refundable breakages deposit of £200 is required 2 weeks prior to arrival and will be refundable 2 weeks after the departure, if everything is found in order, always using bank transfer. Bank charges will be applied for clients outside the UK. No smoking and no pets.
