Santa Maria Villa

Further north from St Paul's Bay lies the town of Mellieha, which sits on top of a hill, overlooking the 'tail end' of Malta. It is also surrounded by fertile valleys and most spots provide good panoramas of the countryside, the Bay - which has the longest beach 600m (650 yards) in Malta and northwards towards Comino and Gozo. The town is popular with Maltese and visitors alike. One can also find some good restaurants, entertainment and full shopping facilities. The village festa is celebrated on 8 September.

The above weekly rates includes water and electricity, use of swimming pool and amenities, use of washing machine and weeky change of bedlinen and towels. Not included: air-condition - on request once in Malta. extra TV channels and installation of internet access. Special rates: long term start £280/430 Euro per month for 1 bedroom apt. 2 bedroom apt £395/600 Euro from November - April or one year.

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. Check in/out time is 12 noon.

Accessibility
Santa Maria villa apartments are situated in one of the more tranquil areas of Mellieha whilst still being in easy reach of all the resort amenities. These air conditioned self catering apartments are adaptable as either individual independent with shared pool. Both are fully equipped for a self catering holiday with either twin or double beds, kitchen with dining/lounge area.

Outside
The spacious pool area includes a surrounding bathing area with parasols, sun-loungers and a BBQ near to the garden area with closed shower/toilet. The pool measures 14x4m and has a small kiddies section with steps.Washing machine free to use

Coast/Beach
Nearest beach at 3km. Diving, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, wind-surfing, water skiing, paragliding, bars, restaurants, cafes, water sports, walking promenade, cinema and casinos about 6km away.

Travel
Airport transfers and car-hire airport transfers including Nearest airport Malta International (Luqa) at 25km. Nearest ferry port Valletta 20km Ferry to Gozo or Comino at 6km. Car is not necessary.

Distances
These villa apartments are only 5 minutes pleasant walk to the main road for bus stops and proceeds to shops, supermarkets, chemists, banks and other attractive sites.We offer airport pick ups and car hires.
Mellieha car rental (fully comprehensive insured) can also be arranged. Wide variety of cars, and 8/9-seater vans. Automatic and air conditioned. Please ask for a quote. Malta International airport (Gudga) is 25km. Nearest ferry port Valletta 20km Ferry to Gozo or Comino at 6km.

Review Rating: 5/5 "As I am in a wheelchair we were rather worried about the suitability of booking an apartment abroad but the owners assured us it would be ideal, and it was. The owners were so kind & helpful but not at all intrusive. The property was very clean and well maintained. On the one evening when we had a terrific rain storm and water flooded everywhere, they quickly cleaned up.Nothing was too much trouble for them. The apartments are in a lively town but set back from the hustle 'n' bustle so you get a peacful nights sleep. There are so many places to see & things to do that after such a great holiday in 2006 we returned in 2007 to the Merrill Apartments. The owners are so caring and helpful, the apartments clean and bright, the weather superb, the locals so friendly, the food's great and plenty to do and see IF you've got transport or just laze on the beach: what more do you want on holiday? Malta here we come again! "
