This apartment is huge. It has everything you need microwave, toaster, kettle, sandwich maker, TV, DVD player. All rooms are fitted with ceiling fans. Its close to shops bars and restaurants and a 15 mins walk away from beautiful Hondoq Bay, where you can enjoy a meal or drink at the bayside tavern. Snorkling is a must its just magic or better still suba diving, you will pass a diving school on the way to the bay. From the front balcony you can sit and enjoy a glass of red and the beautiful views of the islands of Comino and Malta. An in house phone is avalible a 'Ezyline' prepaid phone card can be purchased almost anywhere starting from 5 Euro. Full linen is provided. An arrival breakfast package is supplied. Qala is conviently situated close to the ferry port, a bus service passes through Qala, the bus stop is around corner. The bus will take you through the village of Nadur home of Ramla Bay and to the main village of Victoria.

Notes on prices
Prices are based on 7 day stay for 2 people. An extra 7 GBP p/person p/night is charged for additional guests. Except for the Carnival weekend 10 Eu p/p p/n extra (date will vary from year to year please enquire). Lets less than min days also available, surcharge may apply.) Lets over 3 weeks qualify for a discount, price on application. All prices are quoted in UK Pounds. A £150 bond is held by the agent to ensure no damage is done and will be refunded accordingly on date of departure.

Notes on accommodation
All 3 bedrooms as well as dining room and lounge/living rooms are fitted with a ceiling fan. There is also 3 pedestal fans and iron/ironing board available for use. Heaters are supplied for winter lets, a charge of 17 euros per gas bottle is payable by the tenant if required. Cable TV is connected an upgrade is available with UK channels, extra charge applies. No extra charge applies for electricity or water.
Accessibility
The property is on the second floor just 2 short flights of stairs, no lift or wheelchair ramp.
Outside
The apartment has a front balcony and back balcony. Down stairs in the street there is a garden area for communal use. A great place to meet the friendly gozitain locals.
Coast/Beach
This apartment is only a 2 min drive away from the most beautiful Hondoq Bay, its a white sand and white pebble beach with crystal clear waters and lots of hidden wonders. 3 caves and mesmerising underwater senery. Snorkeling is a must. It also has a charter service to the beautiful blue lagoon and water rides. Also close by are popular Ramla bay (a red sandy beach) 10 min drive. Marsalforn and Xlendi bay 15 drive and Deweja inland sea is 20 mins drive. As you can see nothing is too far away.
Special interest holidays
A scuba diving school is situated 2 mins away. Also an art gallery is only 3 mins walk away, along with a handful of bars and restaurants. One resturant in Qala called 'Xerri's Buskett' has the most breathtaking view in all of Gozo and its only a 10 min walk away or short drive (it also has a internet cafe inside). The island is full of historical places of interest, water sport actives, horse riding, bars, pubs, restaurants, friendly locals and much much more.
Travel
The airport is on the mainland of Malta its a 45 mins drive to the ferryport. Where you catch a 20 min ferry ride across the channel to Mgarr, in Gozo. From Mgarr Qala is s short 5 min drive. Taxi services are on stand by most of the times and are avalible from both airports and ferryports. Pick up from gozo ferry port to the apartment can be booked cost is 10 EU per car load. There is a public bus service in gozo but to maximise your stay in Gozo a rental car is recommended.
Distances
Gozo is only 14 km long by 7 km wide so nothing is very far at all. The closest village to Qala is popular Nadur it also has a great village centre with more bars and resturants it's a short 2 min drive or 10 min walk. All other attractions are only 10 to 20 mins away.
Further details
Gozo has lots of historical places of interest to visit. Ggantija temples they pre date the pyramids of Egypt, erected 3600 bc. also Nino Grotto a cave with stalactites & stalagmites (in Xargha). The Cathedral in the Citadel next to the archaeological museum & folklore museum (in Victoria). Every village has at least one magnificient church filled with paintings and marble fittings. Ta Pinu church is a must. Xlendi is the home of 2 ancient wash-houses dating from the late 1700 and are still in use today. And is also a popular dive site. Dewjra is the home of the inland sea very unique! also the zerka window and fungus rock. Also a very popular dive site. If history is not for you there is always the beautiful beaches of Gozo with crystal clear waters with a comfortable water temperature in the summer months (swimming in Gozo starts from April through to early November). Wining and Dining in Gozo is everywhere and prices are very affordable, there are lots of seaside resturants too. The more lively popular eating spots in Gozo are Xlendi and Marsalforn, they are also the homes of the summer time open-air night clubs. Winter night clubs are mostly found in the main village of Victoria. Victoria is the main shopping village in Gozo, with lots of shops, restaurants, coffee shops and an open air market. Banks are found in most villages. In the summer months they close from 12pm so banking needs to be done early some re open after 4pm. Automatic teller machines are also avalible in some villages the closest to Qala is Nadur 2 min drive away.There are a variety of water sports avalible eg. canoeing, paddle boat hire, jet ski hire, suba diving lessons, boat cruises, banana boat rides, and more. Or why not give horse riding a go!

Booking must be confirmed with a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Full payment must be made 6 weeks prior to stay, unless otherwise negotiated. Can sleep 8 upon request. We have 2 baby's cot available for use including linen. Transfers from the airport to the apt door step can be organised upon request on your behalf, if ample notice is given. Free welcome food package supplied to all 7 day bookings. The apartment is also available for long lets, enquire for price.

Hi my name is Gemma. I live in Australia with my husband Andrew and our 2 children. Andrew and I met in Gozo in 1986 on my very first holiday to Gozo, visiting relatives. I fell in love with everything about Gozo including Andrew. So I dragged him away from his beloved Gozo to the shores of Down under Australia.
We both have family that live in Gozo, and it's a very big part of our lives. Our children also love Gozo and look forward to our family holidays. Over the years visiting we have all made many dear friends. The local Gozitains are lovely people.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We love to visit Gozo as often as possible, hence this is why we bought this property. We visit for 2 mths at a time so we furnished our second home with everything we would possibly need. We thoroughly enjoy the peace and tranquility of Qala. Though the village centre seems to come to life in the evenings, a perfect mix actually. Our favorite beach on the whole island is beautiful Hondoq Bay with is mesmerizing crystal blue waters, we like to call it our little piece of paradise, It's only a 15min walk away from our apartment or a short drive.
Unique benefits of the property
I love to enjoy my breakfast in the morning sun on the front balcony whilst gazing at the beautiful sea view.
We have enjoyed many quiet glasses of wine and dinners also, over looking the islands of Malta and Comino. With their flickering night lights and spectacular firework displays in the summer months.
