Changeover day
No fixed changeover day. Holiday lettings are for a minimum of 5 nights, commencing at 3:00 pm on the day of arrival and ending at 10:00 am on the day of departure. Arrivals and departures outside these hours are charged at GBP 10 an hour.

Notes on accommodation
Eco credentials: Sustainability has been part and parcel of the design of this holiday rental. Ceilings and, wherever possible, walls have been insulated and intelligent ventilation introduced to make the most of cool air on summer nights. Water heating is solar and rainwater is harvested for re-use. Transport from the airport: We will personally come and meet you at the airport at the start of your stay and take you to Indulgence Divine.

Property includes stairs. Property is on 1st and 2nd floor. Not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
Start the day at first light on our lovely roof terrace surrounded by plants, enjoy a glass of wine in the cool breeze of the early evening, enjoy the night under the stars in a truly peaceful spot.
Coast/Beach
Most beaches in Malta are limestone, with smooth areas for sunbathing such as that in Xrobb l-Ghagin (8.8km). These are best for those who hate sand getting everywhere but there are also some sandy beaches such as that in Birzebbugia close by (9.2km) or others in the north of Malta such as Gnejna Bay and Paradise Bay (24km).

Marsa Golf Course - 4.7km from Indulgence Divine (11 minutes).
Travel
Malta International Airport: 6.6km (14 mins).
Bus stop: 3 mins by walk.

Valletta: 7.7km (12 mins) by car.
Further details
For such a small town, there are a good number of excellent establishments where one can wine and dine. The lovingly restored international yacht marina with its restaurants and bars has attracted more refined customers from all over the island, thus introducing competition from other establishments in the centre of town. Vittoriosa is also celebrated for its wine bars, a local tradition that has seen a resurgence. But best of all, Vittoriosa is a town steeped in history. Amongst the places of interest are The Inquisitor's Palace, the Maritime Museum, Malta at War museum, St Lawrence Oratory Museum, Auberge d'Angeleterre and, close enough to town, 10 minutes away by bus, is the Hypogeum temple (older than Stonehenge).

About the owner
Art Director by day (and sometimes night) the love for the island I was born on, lures me back several times a year to its shores. I am interested in people, I'm in love with their quirks - if I could, I'd sit down in various cafes around the world and people watch all day.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The city's rich history and its proximity to the Grand Harbour (like Valletta, it's a peninsula) were what attracted me to the area. The house itself was love at first site, it had a welcoming vibe to it, starting off with its lovely high ceilings and beautifully bare stones. The locals are noisy and love celebration, yet the place can be quiet and reflective at times. The fact there's a vivacious weekly market on its doorstep meant I was never going to tire of the place.
Unique benefits of the property
For me it's a place of reflection and relaxation both inside, surrounded by furniture I have designed, and on the roof terrace with no one overlooking me. Give me a good book and a glass of white wine and I'm happy. I love eating and the coffee culture so it's handy there are plenty of excellent establishments offering both. In particular I love an evening meal on the Marina terrace enjoying the sunset.
