The villa is in picturesque and historical G'hammar, Ghasri, the smallest village on Gozo, lying between the hills of Zebbug and G'hammar. Gozo is one of the 3 Maltese Islands (14kms long and 7kms wide) means nowhere on Gozo is more than 10-15 minutes walk or drive away. It is a safe and friendly place, too, and you’ll never have a problem finding someone who knows someone who has exactly what you want! There are many places to explore, and something for all the family to do from snorkelling, diving, getting to know the local history, night life to relaxing! Eating out is easy because there’s plenty of choice. For an informal atmosphere, there are pizzerias or the local fish restaurants. If sophisticated dining is more to your taste, there are several restaurants to choose from. A well-stocked, local supermarket will deliver direct to your door and a daily delivery of fresh bread can also be arranged.

"To let you know we had a lovely holiday in Gozo, the house and the pool were both perfect. We would certainly recommend your property to others."
"The villa is quite beautiful - I loved the inner atrium and the view where we watched the sky drilled with stars and also the cool height and grace of the place...we found masses to do and the boys could have snorkelled all day...thank you...I will remember it always..."
"Thank you so much for the use of your villa. We had an absolutely Marvellous holiday. We loved the slow pace of the Island and particularly the Village itself with the bread man and fish man calling. It was a very peaceful corner. We also snorkelled round a few of the coves (San Blass was our favourite) and walked to the light house through the little lanes between the fields. We took a trip to Valetta in Malta which was fascinating but we were glad to get back to the peace of Gozo afterwards!"
" We had a great time with very fond memories of your house and Gozo"
Owner profile
About the owner
My husband is Maltese and the property in Gozo is our home. We live in Oxford, England and only go to Gozo a couple of times a year. I work as a Therapist and Consultant and wanted the house to be somewhere to go to relax, and share with others so they could switch off' and enjoy the 'basics' of Gozitan life, without the, pressure and stress of everyday living. It is a beautiful property and everyone loves the atmosphere, hence when people stay there we want people to feel as if it were their home. My background is in the 5 * hotel and catering industry and customer service, so we listen to your needs and aim to provide a friendly and helpful 'service' to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.
Year purchased: 2003
Why the owner chose a home in this location
My husband is Maltese and we lived in Malta. We wanted to have a house on the islands when we came to live in the UK and I have always loved Gozo. We searched for many years to find a 'traditional style' property which was bright and airy, quiet, with views and a swimming pool. After much searching we found our property which we built with the architect from 'plan' and it was completed in 2005.
The village is a small 'hamlet' and all the people have lived there for many generations and are mainly farmers and crafts people.
There is easy access to shops, beaches and all amenities and if you feel lazy the local bread man delivers fresh bread daily and we get freshly picked melons and tomatoes from the farm!
Unique benefits of the property
Our property is bight and airy, all windows have nets on them so you can leave the windows open and enjoy a cool breeze in the height of summer. The build of the property with tall ceilings, beams and arches gives a wonderful ambiance and feel of being able to 'meander' through each room and have a experience something different in each space. The entrance reception, internal garden and courtyard means you can stay somewhere cool and quiet, or join the family in the open plan lounge/diner and kitchen and watch outside. Or enjoy being outside in the sunshine beside the pool with amazing views of open farmland, countryside and the majesty of Ta'Pinu church - which is lit up at night.
All bedrooms are separated by a landing or stairs and are en suite, which means you have your own privacy
