The main bus terminal in Malta is at the city front just 10 minutes walk from our historic town house within the walls of Valletta. Accommodation consists of one king size double bedroom with original wooden beams and traditional iron balcony, one shower, kitchen/dining with stunning original arches and a beautiful living room.Valletta capital is surrounded by water from three sides .The town house is self catering . Stores for food and other general necessities are nearby, 1 minute walk away in Republic street and Merchants street, where the Valletta food and vegetable market is also located.

Activities in the vicinity: Boat trips, casino, cinema, golf, tennis, horse riding, museums, nightclub, sailing, scuba diving, theater and the famous St John`s cathedral holding The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist an oil painting by the Italian artist Caravaggio. According to Andrea Pomella in Caravaggio: An Artist through Images (2005), the work is widely considered to be Caravaggio's masterpiece as well as one of the most important works in Western painting. Valletta is a haven for churches, Cathedrals,art galleries, and is Malta''s top shopping district which includes outdoor markets and wonderful antique centres. Its main shopping streets are Republic Street and Merchants Street. Here you will find small narrow streets that are lined with art and selling everything you can imagine. There are votive statues, fountains, courtyards, gardens, and cafes as well. There is well known fashion and music centres. For the photography buff, there is plenty of charm to feast on. Valletta is bustling during the day with both tourists and locals visiting its many museums, the Grand Master's Palace and a colourful selection of cafes and shops. At night best to go down to the harbour at (valletta water front) were you find bars, restaurants and clubs open till late at night. The Malta experience an audio-visual attraction to view Malta`s most important historical events in the most informative and entertaining way and is literally two minutes on foot.

5/5. Remarks - This house of character is absolutely beautiful, it's been lovingly restored and is spotless. It's located in a residential area that is completely safe and just a five minute walk from the centre of the city. There's a grocery store, fruit and vegetable store and a bar just around the corner and the locals couldn't be more helpful. In the townhouse itself, there were plenty of clean towels in the shower and the bathroom, a well stocked kitchen, with a gorgeous dining area and plenty of space for entertaining. Staying in this townhouse is the equivalent of taking a step back in time to the 16th century, but with all mod cons in tow! Malta is an incredible place, it's steeped in history and is brimming over with stunning architecture. I loved it, I've already passed on the details of this property to all of my friends and will definitely visit again in the very near future.

About the owner
Since I can remember I have painted and been interested in my surroundings. My childhood memories are of the wonderful Maltese islands and very fascinated and enchanted by Malta's capital city Valletta, the shops and cafes, the churches, the panoramic views and the history of the capital. Now we reside in the UK but love to share our town house Antiqua for a real Maltese holiday accommodation. My only real qualification is my heart which is where I paint from. If its a need, a passion and in your blood you will be an artist, that's all the credibility I need. Enjoy my work, the viewers enjoyment is worth more than any acclaim. You can see some of my paintings from time to time at our charming townhouse, in Valletta or at the qawra apartment.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Since my childhood I was enchanted by Malta's capital city, a city built by the Knights of St John, a city dotted with churches and St John cathedral was my favourite, the panoramic views of the great Valletta harbour, the narrow stepped streets and all the history of our capital.
