This is a large, open plan house designed to maximise light and air. It is a very old house but it has been rehabilitated using modern techniques and materials. The best of the old parts have been retained and incorporated into a blend of glass, steel and natural stone imported from India.

Notes on accommodation
The bedrooms are air-conditioned with cooling and heating. The open plan nature makes the accommodation unsuitable for toddlers.
Accessibility
Unfortunately we are not really suitable for wheel-chair users and the staircase would make life difficult for anyone with mobility problems.
Outside
There is an outside area down the side of the 12m private pool which is suitable for anyone wishing to swim 'lengths'. A sail-shade provides a respite from the strong sun if you want it and the area is equipped with a table and chairs for six/eight persons. The garden space is accessible from the kitchen making outdoor dining a very easy option.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach is 5-10 mins drive away. A cross country route by foot will take about 25 mins. Everywhere in Malta is within 30mins drive and there are excellent sandy beaches, rock pools and diving locations. Twenty minutes away is the West coast which leads to the Dingli Cliffs and the ancient temples of Hagar Qim and Mnydra which outdate Stonehenge by 1000 years, the beautiful cove at Ghar Lapsi and the cliff top area with amazing views.
Travel
Car hire is best arranged in advance, but public transport is excellent and the nearest bus stop is 2 mins walk. Everywhere in Malta can be accessed by bus and the fares are better than reasonable. A car gives you the freedom to travel at will but we recommend that the local buses are the best option for a trip into Valetta. We offer a TomTom navigator with all Places of Interest, sights, beaches, restaurants etc pre-programmed @5€/day.
Further details
The village of Zejtun is one of oldest in Malta. There a village core with old houses and narrow streets some dating back 300 years or more and there are a number of Punic tombs cut into the rock over which the village has evolved. The village has the full range of shops, chemist, hairdressers, beautician, grocery, banks and many others. There is a very impressive village church and Zejtun also boasts one of the Malta's oldest churches built in a style quite unknown on the rest of the Island. Zejtun (Olive in Arabic) was a centre of olive production in the past, an industry gathering renewed interest these days.

Lyndon and Lillianne are the owners of this dream home, which took 5 years in the making. Lillianne is a mathematician and Lyndon a chemical engineer and both believe that they are only custodians of their home and that sharing it with others only enhances the pleasure they derive from this beautiful space. Lil, as everyone knows her, has a special eye for colour and design despite her appreciation of maths. Lyndon, who lived for 16 years in Arabia has wide interests, from didgeridoo playing to Egyptian hyroglyphics. They are avid travellers, usually in their Landrover with tent on the roof, and they are lovers of all forms of music, in particular the World genre. Lil is Maltese, Lyndon English, and they have lived in Malta since 2001. They are a mine of information about the Island.
