Malhada de Sao is a very rural, peaceful country setting comprising 2 different dwellings, all sleeping up to 6 people. The nearest main town is Tavira which is 10Km away. The properties are set amongst Olive, Lemon and Palm trees. It is a peaceful and tranquil location which would suit walkers, cyclists, ornithologists, botanists (there is a large selection of wild flowers), painters and readers. Five km away is a waterfall feeding a natural pool which is suitable for swimming.

Here you’ll find a rugged landscape covered with fruit groves and dotted with picturesque villages. It’s a great place to visit if you enjoy walks and bike rides, with a host of paths and country roads to follow from your farmhouse in Malhada do Sao. In the tranquil countryside, the busy Algarve resorts will seem very distant, yet many of the tourism highlights are just a short drive from cottages in Malhada do Sao.
The nearest beach to apartments in Malhada do Sao is only 10 kilometres away, just outside the town of Tavira. Much of the coastline here is protected as part of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, which lends the beaches a wonderful tranquil air. One of the standouts is Manta Rota, which has blue flag status and is often rated among the best on the Algarve. The park is home to a lagoon, fed by a number of river inlets.
