The Pestana Gardens Ocean Apart Hotel (formerly the Atlantic Gardens Hotel), is situated next to the Pestana Bay on the West Coast of Funchal and enjoys direct sea access. Half of the resort comprises of privately owned apartments known locally as Atlantic Gardens. The complex is built into a bay and protected by a cliff in the back and provides total tranquility. From this apartment you can see Europe’s highest cliff and the second highest promontory in the world that is; Cabo Girão and enjoy the splendid sunsets. During the day, the on-site snack bar and next door’s restaurant at Pestana Bay Hotel and the pool bar are at your disposal. You`re invited to relax in the onsite swimming pool with integrated area for children,the separate Jacuzzi and the sauna.The large sun terrace at the sea and offers a direct access to the Atlantic. Guests can reach the centre of the city by public transport or by courtesy bus. Only a few kilometers from the centre of Funchal, the capital of the island.

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
Price includes a welcome pack containing bread, butter, cheese, ham, milk, water and fruit.
Per extra person £35 per week. 10% discount applies for long winter lets and repeat bookings. Travel baby cot and bedding can be hired for £15 for complete duration of stay.

Check out 10am. Check in 4pm. Check in day - as per availability on the calendar.

Notes on accommodation
Madeira is an all year round destination so heating is not necessary. Fan may be required during the summer months and are therefore provided. This is an end of block apartment and therefore is 3 sides open and never gets to cool or hot. The complex and surrounding area is ideal for families.

Outside
The balcony is furnished with table and chairs, umbrella and loungers. The pool is heated and has a child section for safety. The pool area is 'code' gated off the beach.
Coast/Beach
This complex is on the beach. For a kids day out they may like to visit Aqua Park near the Airport - Cost of a taxi to/fro is around 30 euros each way. Or you can take the courtesy bus into town and hop on the local SAM bus (Depot is just across from Dolce Vita, Funchal´s largest Shopping Centre -opposite Building 2000) for around 2.50 euros per person each way.
Golf
Golf courses, Santo de Serra and Palheiro Golf course are 20 - 30 minutes away.
Travel
Nearest airport, Funchal, Madeira. Cost of a taxi to/fro the airport is around €30 each way.
Distances
Funchal city centre (the capital) 25 minutes walk, 5 minutes drive.

The surrounding area of this resort has everything you would need: cinema, shopping centres, restaurants, banks etc all close by.
