Coast/Beach
There are no sandy beaches in Madeira but good, safe seabathing is available within 10 minutes drive at Canico via Rocamar Hotel or the Gaulo Hotel. Both with direct access to seabathing facilities and snorkeling/scuba diving.
Golf

Funchal Airport is approx 16km or a 20 minute drive.
Car Hire is recommended but the taxi services are reasonably priced and reliable.

Funchal is approx 5km or 15 minute drive to town centre and main shopping area, Cathedral, Wine Lodges, Museums, Botanical Garden.
A visit to the world famous Palheiro Gardens is recommended.
