The Apartmentos Casa Branca is located about 2 miles from the centre of Funchal in an area known as the Lido. Here there are many restaurants/shops and buses to the centre of town in an easterly direction and all places west. The apartment block has a swimming pool and garden. The apartment is simply furnished with either a double bed or twin beds. There is a sitting room open plan with a kitchenette, washing machine and dining table. The main feature of the apartments are the balconies - off the sitting room and the bedroom. From both these balconies you have wonderful views of the sea, coastline and also of the mountains and the city of Funchal. The apartments are on the second and fourth floors - there are two lifts. There are additional apartments on the 7th and 8th floors of the building with even better sea and mountain views.Getting to Madeira is easy and is not expensive. Easyjet runs flights from London Gatwick on most days each week and the return fares can be as low as £125.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the properties on the 2nd or 4th floors and are per week in Euros. Each apartment has a sofabed which is suitable for either 1 adult or up to 2 children. Use of this will be charged at 85 Euros(approx equivalent in Sterling is 68 Pounds) per week. There will be a change of linen/towels every week for bookings of two weeks and more. 2.5% discount for bookings of 3 or 4 weeks. Discount of 5% for lets of 5 weeks and over.

Notes on accommodation
It is not usually necessary to provide heating in Madeira. However for the odd occasion when this is required it will be provided. Children are welcome in this apartment.

Accessibility
It is suitable for wheelchair users as there is a ramp up to the front door of the building and then lifts to the 7th floor.
Outside
On each balcony there is a table and two chairs. Outside the apartment block there are gardens and a swimming pool.
Coast/Beach
In addition to the swimming pool at the apartment block there is a large lido nearby, including an open air swimming pool, right on the coast. From this point you also have access to the sea although it must be understood that Madeira is not known for its beaches.

There are two golf courses on the Island and one on the island of Porto Santo
Travel
The driving time by taxi from the airport is approx 30 mins. Car hire is readily available and is recommended for visiting the outlying areas particularly if you are interested in 'Levada' walking.
Distances
Approx 2 miles from the centre of Funchal easily accessible by bus.
Further details
All around the Lido area there are shopping centres, restaurants, banks, supermarkets - all within walking distance.
A real advantage with Apartmentos Casa Branca is that for older guests there is a 24 hour medical assistance service available as well as a hot meal delivery service - the cost of both these items is by arrangement.

30% deposit is required upon booking with the balance and returnable damage/cleaning deposit(£100) payable 6 weeks before the start of your stay.
