This modern second floor apartment is fully furnished, bright and airy and comes with access to a fully equipped gymnasium, jacuzzi and outdoor pool area. It has its own parking space, lift access, and west facing balconies off both the living room and bedroom, espresso coffee machine and WiFi internet access.

Changeover day
The apartment is rented from Mondays to Mondays but there is flexibility for stays of two weeks or more. Simply let me know your requirements and I will accommodate them if possible.

| Bedrooms: | Like the rest of the apartment, the bedroom is newly furnished with a light and modern feel. There is a king sized double bed, bedside cabinets and ample built-in wardrobe and clothes draws. There is also a portable air-conditioning unit for summertime. |
| Bathrooms: | A modern white suite comprising of full size bath with shower attachment above, sink with marble surrounds, toilet and bidet. All towels are provided. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric fan oven, built in microwave, gas hob, full size dishwasher, fridge freezer, etc. It is well stocked with cooking utensils should you wish to self cater, including food processor and espresso coffee machine. |
| Utility Room: | A washing machine, iron and ironing board is provided. |
| Living Rooms: | Over 18sqm, the living area is bright and airy. Cable TV, DVD/Sony Play Station 2, and WiFi broadband internet is all provided free of charge. The dining table seats 4 comfortably. |

All towels and bed linen are provided. A weekly maid service is optional for stays of two weeks or more at no extra charge. |

Outside
The swimming pool (private use for Vila Formosa residents only) is an infinity pool, with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean. This is the 'jewel in the Vila Formosa' crown, providing one of the most amazing sunbathing and swimming surroundings you could wish for. There is also a fully equipped gym, sauna, and jacuzzi.
Travel
Vila Formosa is about 30km from the airport, about 30 euros in a taxi. If you decide to hire a car the apartment has its own allocated parking space in a secure underground car park. I can arrange for a preferred taxi driver to collect you from the airport and whisk you straight to the apartment.
Distances
The apartment is about 4km from Funchal town centre or about a 20 min walk through the ‘hotel zone’. This is a reasonable flat walk passing many cafes, bars and shops on the way. Vila Formosa is also 2 mins walk from a taxi rank and approx 10 min from ‘Forum Madeira’ one of the biggest shopping centres in Funchal.
Booking notes
A non refundable 25% deposit is required when making your reservation with the remaining 75% due 45 days prior to departure. The remaining 75% balance payment can only be refunded for cancellations received within no less than 90 days notice prior to your departure, thereafter no refunds can be made and the full balance will still be due unless the accommodation is cancelled by the owner. Payment can be made online with credit card via the owners website, please request details.

We found this amazing appartment having been to Madeira before and would certainly return again. It is close to all the shopping you would require and only a short bus trip away from Funchal. The appartment has stunning views and excellent facilities. Nothing but excellent communications with the owner. If you want a hassle free holiday in a high spec appartment, this is the one for you. A gem on this fantastic island.

Vila Formosa apartment provides all you require for a conveniently located and comfortable stay.Although on the edge of the hotel zone, the excellent and cheap bus service runs every 10 minutes from the door to the heart of Funchal. There are shops and good restaurants very close by. We found the apartment exactly as described.

About the owner
This is me at work! Quite appropriate I think because we all work too hard these days. That's why I take bookings for my apartment so seriously, I understand how important our precious few days off are.
I like things to be clean, tidy, and new. If a wall gets marked I have the room painted. I'm lucky to have one of the best apartment managers on the island and he knows my brief is to replace old for new whenever he wants.
All my guests receive a comprehensive welcome pack and my personal mobile phone number. Should anything not meet your expectation I will do my very best to put things right immediately.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
I always dreamt of a place with endless ocean views, an infinity pool and balcony views of the sun setting over an ocean.
The estate agent stressed that this was one of the most prestigious developments in Madeira at the time and I kind of fell for the sales pitch. I'm pretty impulsive and bought the last remaining apartment despite only having been in Madeira for 3 days (first time ever!). With hindsight it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made.
