The cottage is located in a charming residential area of Funchal, surrounded by traditional houses with lovely gardens. Funchal market is just down the quite steep road within walking distance, as is the old town with restaurants, cable car and shops. Palheiro golf course is within 10 mins car ride. Bus stop within 15m of front door.

A bright, spacious one bedroom flat with full length windows overlooking the swimming pool. Large bedroom with twin beds. Spacious living room with TV and floor length windows opening onto the pool area. Fully equipped kitchenette including stove, fridge and microwave. Bathroom with wc, bath/shower. Swimming pool with deck chairs and large table. Services included normal consumption of water and electricity, garden and swimming pool maintenance and once a week cleaning with changeover of linen and towels. Be prepared for the occasional visit from an endemic garden lizard or other subtropical friend. |

Not suitable for young children due to pool safety precautions.

Private swimming pool shared by the 2 cottages and main house. 4 sun beds, table with 4 chairs. Banana trees and tropical flower beds surrounding the pool area.
Coast/Beach
Barreirinha beach 5 mins walk (300m), this is a public access beach in the historic old quarter of Funchal.
Golf
Palheiro Golf 5 mins car drive away and Santo da Serra Golf 20 mins drive away.
Travel
20km from Madeira International airport. 1km from Funchal port. Car is not necessary as a bus stop is just 10m down the road.

Set 300m from the historic centre of Funchal, the market and restaurants of the ‘zona velha’. 10 mins walk from cinema, larger supermarket and shopping mall. Small supermarket and coffee bar 20m away.
