The London Eye cannot be missed, giving you the opportunity to see all of London with a great view, particularly if the weather is favourable. Buckingham Palace is also not to be missed on any London short breaks, nor is the Tower of London, where you can visit the historic prison, London bridge, where the heads of criminals used to be displayed on spikes. Big Ben is another must as are St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey, where you can walk in the footsteps of royalty.
London Short Breaks – Shopping
Shopping in London is not to be missed on any London short breaks. A visit to Harrods is not to be missed, even if you may not actually purchase anything. There are also many fashion houses in London, as it is one of the world’s fashion capitals. Again, window shopping may be a better option! London also offers many markets, high street shops and quaint little shops with a mix of items, both international delights and local marvels. Keep in mind, however, that the main high street shopping areas of London can get incredibly busy.
London Short Breaks – Eating

There is so much to do on London short breaks that entire books could be and have been written about it. London is not the cheapest place in the world, just like many of Europe’s capital cities, but if you know where to go, you could keep your costs down tremendously, particularly if you opt to hire a holiday home or apartment. Particularly if you are travelling with a group of people, the price is so much cheaper than booking a hotel, in part as well, because you will be able to cook from home, rather than eating out every night.
