Leros self-catering holiday apartments are located on a small, historic island in the Dodecanese Islands in the southern Aegean Sea. With a total area of just 29 square miles nothing is more than 15 minutes drive from a holiday rental villa on Leros including beaches, restaurants, supermarkets and bars with some beaches just five or six minutes away. While exploring the island will not take long it has a beautifully varied landscape of mountains, valleys and secluded coves with numerous historic buildings and monuments like the Castle of Panayas in Aya Marina and St Isadore church which is build on a rock in the sea and connected to Gourna on the island by a long pier. You should also seek out the ruins of the Temple of Artemis near Partheni on the north coast while staying in an apartment on Leros.
As well as lazing on the beaches, enjoying the local food, particularly the fresh fish, it is possible to visit some of the other islands by boat while staying in a Leros self-catering villa; Rhodes, for instance is the capital of the Dodecanese Islands and has lively beaches and great night-life. If you want something much quieter then there are a number of tiny islands to visit or just sail around and enjoy the peace of the Aegean while staying in a holiday apartment on Leros. Closer to your Leros rental accommodation is Lakki, the largest, deep-water harbour in the Mediterranean where you will find plenty of waterside fish restaurants.
