Heading from Lardos self-catering holiday villas to Lindos, you’ll be able to see the vestiges of a Doric Temple of Athena Lindia, more than 1,400 years old. There’s also a medieval fortress here – The Castle of the Knights of St John and a Hellenistic stoa, 87 metres in length and comprising 42 columns. The beachfront at Lindos is well worth the short drive from Lardos holiday accommodation. There’s a lovely long sandy beach offering a range of activities and water sports. Afandou lies about half an hour to the north of Lardos self-catering cottages and this is where you’ll find Rhodes’ main golf course, a par 73, 18-hole golf course.
