Notes on prices
Minimum stay in Bed & Breakfast rooms is two nights. Minimum booking for the Apartment is 3 nights October to June.
Weekly bookings being taken for September at a discounted price.

Changeover day
For the Apartment, July-August 7-day bookings are preferred, with change-over day Saturday. All other rooms and times are flexible.

Bed & Breakfast Rooms (3)

The Cantinone has three Bed & Breakfast rooms, all with private ensuite bathrooms. Two of the guest bedrooms access a private guest lounge, ideal for families. All rooms can have a child's bed added, and a cot is also available. Two rooms have double beds, and the third can be a large double or twin beds. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. Included are linens, towels for the bathroom, continental breakfast buffet and cleaning. A washing machine is available for guests use, at a small charge per load.

Self-Catering Apartment (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2/4)

The Apartment has a separate entrance, and has its own private courtyard with access to the Pool. There is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, the bedroom has a ceiling fan. The lounge has a sofa-bed for two people. Extra accommodation can be provided by including additional bedrooms. The kitchen is new, installed 2006, and has a dishwasher, refrigerator, double hotplates, and combination microwave grill oven. There is a television with DVD player and SKY satellite. A washing machine is available for guests use, at a small charge per load.

Notes on accommodation
All rooms are centrally heated, and all bedrooms have ceilng fans. The bathrooms are all equipped with toilet, bidet, basin and shower. The Cantinone is non-smoking inside.

Outside
The Cantinone has a private, 12metre swimming pool. It is surrounded by a large paved sun-terrace which is a sun-trap in the summer months. There are sunbeds and umbrellas provided, pool towels are not provided but can be rented for €5 per person per week.

Coast/Beach
The seaside at Senigallia provides wide sandy beaches suitable for families. It is 35 minutes drive from the Cantinone. Other beaches and seaside restaurants can be found at Portonova, Sirolo and Numana, offering many opportunities for sampling the local seafood specialties, and visiting lovely beaches. All are within an hour's drive of the Cantinone.

Golf
The Monte Conero course is 45 minutes by car from the Cantinone. Apart from August, it is quite easy for visiting golfers to book a round.

Special interest holidays
The Cantinone offers a summer programme for guests, including Wine and Vineyard Tours, Horseriding and trekking, and 4-day Pottery Painting courses.

Travel
The nearest airport is Ancona, served by Ryanair from Stanstead and Liverpool. It is 25 minutes drive, by direct motorway. Other airports with Ryanair are Bologna-Forli (2 hours) Pescara (2 hours) Rome Ciampino (3 hours). BA flies to Bologna (2.5 hours) and EasyJet to Rimimi (1.5 hours). The train from Rome to Ancona stops nearby (Rome 3 hours). Ancona is a ferry port with sailings to Croatia, Greece and Turkey. A car is essential for your stay here.

Distances
Cupramontana (pop. 5000) is the nearest town and is 3 kms away. Local shopping can also be done at Rosora 2kms away. Jesi (pop 50000) is 28kms away, and Ancona is 45kms. The Frasassi Caves are 15 kms away, Assisi in Umbria is an hour's drive, and Urbino, Macerata, Loreto, Corinaldo, are within an hour and a half. A day visit to San Marino for duty-free shopping is possible, we are 2 hours from the principality. Hundreds of hill-top towns, mostly undiscovered by tourism, waiting to be found.

There are a large number of restaurants and bars in the area, and a full list is available at the Cantinone, with driving instructions. Supermarkets are available in Cupramontana, and local markets are held every day of the week, in differet towns nearby. Shoe shopping is a must - Italy has some of the best shoes in the world and around Ancona some great outlets provide bargains.
