The "Garden" Apartment has been created from renovated storerooms of the D'Agostino farm. The bedrooms are completely independent and look directly over the garden, one through large french doors and the other through a porch. They are cool during the hot summer and cosy in the winter.The whole apartment is furnished in a modern style and the kitchen is fully equipped. The apartment also has a bathroom w. shower. The Garden Apartment will be particularly appreciated by those who love comfort and style in a unique and unusual modern layout.

Outside
The garden is a lovely space in which to relax, with a beautiful gazebo, deck chairs, a fountain and fruiting tress which provide shade in the summer.
There are lovely views of the surrounding countryside from the mountains to the sea in the distance.
Tourist information is available at the house and the owners will be pleased to help you and provide any information you will need during your stay.

Coast/Beach
The beaches on the Abruzzi coast are very beautiful, wide and sandy, just right for families with children. Most of the coasts are equipped with beach umbrellas, deck chairs and lawn chairs to be paid for. There are some “free beaches” where you can put your own beach umbrella.
For those who like stony beaches, I advise the coast that goes from Ortona to Vasto, less crowded and great for those who love the peace and quiet. There are also less crowded beaches form Giulianova to Roseto.

Skiing
During your winter holiday put your skis on and go!
When the snow whitens the woods and the plateaus, the peaks and flanks of Abruzzo’s massive mountains, any kind of skiing sports is possible: on and off the ski-slopes, cross-country ski and alpinism ski. And, of course, the snow board.
In Abruzzo there are many skiing resorts located on the Gran Sasso mountain, the nearest from Casa Monteverde are:

Prati di Tivo: located on Teramo’s side of the Gran Sasso. There are a chair-lift, 5 ski lifts, 9 ski slopes at a height of 1450-2000 metres. Two “guided” tracks for cross-country ski. Two ski-schools. Bar and restaurants and shops.
Prato Selva: located between the Gran Sasso and the Laga Mounts. The ski complex and the ski-slopes (4) are placed at a height between 1450-1800 metres. 1 chair-lift, 3 ski lifts and a ski-school, bar and restaurants.
Campo Imperatore: Delightful skiing at the height of over 2000 metres. Cable car for 100 people, 4 ski lifts.

Travel
From Casa Monteverde you can easily reach the Gran Sasso mountain, the fine-sand beaches of Roseto and also visit the numerous little town, churches and monastery in the province of Teramo.
Using the motorway A24 and A14 you can visit old and very well known town such as L'Aquila, Chieti, Sulmona, Lanciano, Vasto, Pescara, Rome and the Vatican.

From the moment you tracked down Louise’s mobile phone number, we realised that you go to extraordinary lengths to make your guests welcome.
We did not get to truly appreciate the view until the next day as it was dark when we arrived. However, I don’t think we have stopped taking pictures of it since them..!
There is everything here that you could wish for in a villa; and the well-stocked kitchen was just one more example of your attention to detail.
Having been to the area before, we knew where we wanted to visit. Casa Monteverde is the ideal place to start from, with all the attractions of Abruzzo within easy driving distance. It was even possible to have a full day in Rome with a mid-morning start; and the drive through the Gran Sasso is an experience not to be missed.
We now have a dilemma….
Do we tell all our friends about Casa Monteverde or do we keep it to ourselves? One thing is for the sure… we will definitely come back again.
