Discovery-Agropoli, available 360 days a year with its residence apartments is situated in the exclusive residential area of Agropoli, Salerno in south Italy. The picturesque view over the village makes your holiday perfect. The Villa is situated on the high part of the coast of the Cilento area, in a magical position with a picturesque view of the village of Agropoli, the Isle of Capri, the Amalfitan Coast and the Gulf of Salerno. Optimal for organisation of tourist excursions to the world's famous archaeological areas of Paestum, Pompei, Isle of Capri, Isle of Ischia, Amalfitan Coast, Coves of Pertosa and Castelcivita, Certosa di Padula, Palinuro, Velia and the National Park of the Cilento. The Residence, of recent construction is completely situated in the green and is made up of 5 single independent apartments on 3 floors where chaos and stress are unknown. All apartments have great terraces with sea-view, independent access and completely equipped kitchens.

Notes on prices
Our additional costs are: a weekly booking fee of £16 Sterling which pays for towels, linen, trash diposal taxes and secure parking on the property inside an electric gate plus £35 for the final cleaning. Long lets during winter months welcome!
Changeover day
3 days minimum but absolutely flexible. In July and August Saturday to Saturday and one week minimum.

Notes on accommodation
Clean, cosy and absolutely lovely self catering apartment with combi-bolier, fans and independent heating system. Northern European standards in south Italy. It is the only self catering accommodation available in Agropoli 360 days a year for a very, very convenient price regarding the quality and the location! No freezing in winter, no suffering in summer. Northern European standards in this accomodation. Please check the given references by former guests on our homepage.
If you wish, we can arrange some soft drinks or mineral water with arrival. Please request via e-mail.
Finally we want to underline that Agropoli is the biggest commercial centre of the Cilento area with shops, lively nightlife for all ages, hospital and medical service insured 24 hours a day. Train station together with its maritime harbour where the ferryboat for Capri leaves every Saturday/Sunday for 7 euros each way for adults and 2 euros for children.

Travel
Nearest Airport is Naples but there are special offers for Rome. Rome is only 3.5 hours drive away. Car hire possible in both airports. To access the house a car is not needed but recommended. Shuttlebus pick up service possible. Pick up service from and to Naples £70 one-way. Avoid italian traffic and enjoy your holiday!

Short overview of Agropolis history: The Village of Agropoli bears witness of the presence of ancient Greek settlers, who built the temple of Artemis on the promontory. The following settlers where the Romans. The Byzantines made it a safe landing place, fortifying it and giving it the name Acropolis from the old Greek language: 'acro and polis / high and town' In 882 a.d. the town fell under Saracen control and got from 915 up to 15th. century under the rule of the church. Various noble families controlled Agropoli straight after the rule of the church. In the 16th and 17th century Agropoli and its inhabitants got particularly the target of barbarian invasions and fell to just a hundred souls, mostly women and children. Today Agropoli is the main gate to the Cilento Coast and its National Park is considered World Heritage Site under control and protection of the Unesco. We count nearly 25 thousand inhabitants.

'Booking this wonderful apartment via Raff“s website was very easy with no issues at all. The apartment is extremly spacious and clean. Agropoli is centraly positioned with some great sandy beaches. We visited Naples, Vesuvius and Pompeii but Paestum and in particular Herculaneum is well worth a visit. Raffaele was always helpful, just ask and he will do his best to help. The boat trip on the Cilento Explorer is well worth the money and shows off the fabulous coastline to the south of Agropoli. We have enjoyed our week in Agropoli very much - Apartment Copenhagen is a comfortable, well appointed base from which to explore the wonder of the Cilento and Amalfi regions.
The apartment had everything we needed to relax after the vigours of Rome and it was good to "come home" to after hot days traipsing around the likes of Paestum and Pompeii.
