Only 5 metres separate the apartment from the golden sandy beach of Porto Paglia. You have wonderful views of the most beautiful coastline of South West Sardinia. The “Antiche Tonnare di Porto Paglia” is an old fishermen’s village built at the end of XVIII century. It was the place where Sardinian tuna fish was caught. These little buildings were used for this aim until 1974. There are still many fishermen’s houses all around a court-yard, a little church, the old workshops near the seaside and a Spanish tower that is still there since 1598. Today the fishermen’s village is completely restored and it has become a private exclusive residence, a peaceful place where you can spend your holiday. It is an accommodation suitable for a relaxing holiday, visiting the real Sardinia in order to know its real flavours and perfumes. You can enjoy summer time and relax on the beach. If you like sports, Porto Paglia is excellent for wind-surfing, surf-casting and fishing.

How to arrive: from Cagliari follow SS130 toward Iglesias, then follow signs to S. Antioco, then turn right twice to Portoscuso and then to Antiche Tonnare di Porto Paglia.

Gonnesa is the nearest town: 1 km from the village.It is a place not discovered at all by mass tourism. It is part of Geological Park of South Sardinia (born by UNESCO): old mines and beautiful caves are its richness. In Gonnesa you can find everything for everyday life: large and small markets, a bank, baker's, chemist's, pizzerias and restaurants. Gonnesa is the ideal starting point for many activities: sports and cultural events.
