Built in traditional Sardinian style, No 28 Bella Vista is professionally maintained both inside and out. Set in pretty secluded gardens, the apartment has its own large verandah with covered comfortable dining area and astonishing views over the bay and the island of Tavolara. The living areas are luxuriously appointed with central heating and air-conditioning. Use of communal pool (mid-June - mid-September]. Beaches close by, nearest 10 minute walk. Olbia 15 minutes with airport, fantastic shopping and dining. The apartment is in a perfect location for exploring the coastal and interior regions of the Costa Smeralda, including Porto Cervo (25 minutes), Porto Rotondo (10 minutes), Maddelena (30 minutes) and the artists town of St Panteleo (10 minutes). Nearest beach is 10 minutes walk, many more beaches all within a 15 minutes drive including the famous Cala di Volpe, Capricciolli and Rommanzina. Excellent golf at Pevero course is about 20 minutes drive. Supermarket close.

Changeover day
Flexible. When bookings are back to back in the busy months, it will be appreciated if guests leave by 10am and arrive after 2pm so that cleaning may take place. Thank you.

Outside
Private garden to front of property. Large verandah to rear with astonishing uninterrupted views of the bay. Covered area and dining facilities for 6. Gas BBQ. Solarium. Pot plants, rocks and outdoor lighting. Walled all around offering safety, privacy and room to dance!
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach is a 10 min walk, there are many more beaches all within a 15 min drive including the famous Cala di Volpe, Capriccioli and Rommanzina. Some have lounger, windsurf, and pedalo hire in season, are child safe and there are many secluded, romantic parts. The sea is warm from early May until November. The sea water is crystal clear, containing glitter granite particles giving the water the famous emerald hue... Facilities include sub aqua, snorkelling, (famous protected coral reefs).
Golf
Golf is available at the world renowned Pevero Golf Club, one of the most beautiful and exclusive golf courses in the World. Pevero is 30 mins drive away and prices start from E50.
Special interest holidays
Horse riding - Shergan centre is 20 mins drive and is owned by an Italian show jumper and commentator. Lessons in all skills can be booked as well as treks across the mountains and interior. Scuba diving and sub aqua are available, with several protected coral reefs close by to explore. Sailing - marina 10 mins away at Pittulongu, with Porto Cervo and Rotondo just a short drive away. Wind surfing, water skiing, para-gliding etc available at local beaches. Fishing. Cycle and Vespa hire at Porto Rotondo. Neuragic sites litter the countryside, as do Roman ruins. San Panteleo is just 15 mins drive and is a centre for artists. Henry Moore was in residence here and took his inspiration from the local rock formations for his sculptures.
Travel
Flights now available from many airports. Olbia airport is about 15 mins drive away, and Alghero is a scenic drive across the island of about one and a half hours. Car hire is recommended.
Distances
Pittalongu 500m. Olbia 15 mins drive. Porto Rotondo 15 mins drive. Porto Cervo and its beaches 30 mins. La Maddalena archipelago 45 min drive away, accessible from Palau.
Rome 20 mins by air, 1 & 1/2 hours by ferry from Olbia. Corsica 30 min ferry from Golfo Aranci.
Further details
There are several good restaurants locally ,many in Pittulongu and on local beaches. As well as serving the Costa Smeralda with the air port and harbour, Olbia is lively and fabulous for eating, drinking and shopping and has a large supermarket. Outdoor religious festivals, street markets are frequent. Banks also in Olbia together with Tourist Information. Do remember that all retail outlets including banks are closed between 12pm and 4pm when planning your stay.
Booking notes
Half of rental in advance to confirm booking. Rest due 1 month before departure. Arrival time 2pm and departure 10am to allow time for cleaning is helpful. The pool is available from mid June - mid September.
