Steps away from the water banks, at the heart of the old town's center of Porlezza, is Residence Rezia 9. In an artfully restored ancient house from the 15th century we offer 4 beautiful holiday apartments, passionately renovated by an artist. The apartments are equipped with a kitchen, shining bathroom, winter heating, air conditioner and satellite TV. All apartments are 'monolocale' (open space), allowing for maximum space and flexibility in use. The apartments are in different sizes, to meet the independent needs of each holiday maker.

On the ground floor, one could savor the tranquility, combined with the special modern-antique atmosphere (a 500 year old chestnut-wood girder spreads across the apartment).

Located on the 1st floor, this apartment provides view from both the bedroom and the living room.
The high ceiling and open-space interior allow for a great feeling of large space at your disposal.
From the window you could see the lake, mountains, and the small peaceful gardens all around.
This apartment retains the original 500 year old Terra-Cotta floor. (1 double bed, 1 sofa bed).

The Jewel in the Crown! Located in the top floor, the magnificent view of Lake Lugano is yours to have from the windows of this apartment. While the kitchen and dining area overlook the lake, the bedroom is dominated by the huge mountainous surroundings (This will be the first thing you'll see upon waking up in the morning...).
Aside from the bedroom and living room, you'll find a charming sleeping gallery for your young companion. The apartment is built in several levels, and the open space allows for maximum feeling of space, along with full control over your kids.
The Modern architecture is in constant dialogue with the ancient roots of the building, and the original elements contribute to the unique countryside feeling.
Despite being offered for up to 6 guests, each of the guests will find a private corner in this apartment. (1 double bed, 2 sofa beds).

 

Notes on accommodation
All apartments are equipped with central gas heating & air conditioners. (Heating gas is not included in the price, and will be calculated upon meter readout). Electricity included.
The kitchens are equipped with microwave, electric stove, refrigerator, toaster, kettle and cutlery.
Linen and towels provided.
Though suitable for children, the apartments are monolocale (open space), divided to 2-3 open levels conected with stairs. Care must be taken with younger children.

Coast/Beach
Residence Rezia is just steps from the waters of lovely Lake Lugano, which can be easily enjoyed for swimming, water sports, sunbathing and even just strolling along the waterfront.

Golf
Menaggio Golf Club with it's 18 hole golf course, can be found just 12 km from Porlezza.

Travel
Porlezza is just 15 - 20 minutes drive (22 km) from Lugano to the west, whose airport offers connecting flights to Zurich, Frankfurt, Paris and Rome. It is possible to commute between Porlezza to Lugano with public transportation via Como city by bus or fairy, as well as rent a vehicle and drive there.

It is also possible to fly into Milan's International Airports (Malpensa/Linate/Bergamo), from which there are frequent trains to Como City (The journey takes only 35 mins from Malpensa/Lina)

Porlezza is one of the pearls of the Lombardy region. Situated on the banks of the Italian side of Lugano Lake, at the heart of the beautiful Valsolda Valley; it is a charming small place in a marvelous setting.

Living in Porlezza allows you to enjoy both Italy and Switzerland at the same time. From spring throughout the autumn the surrounding mountains are green and flowers blossom all around. Hikers & cyclers are welcome to explore the flora & fauna and admire the views. Churches are scattered all over the surrounding mountains, and sun bathing is available within walking distance. In the summer you can enjoy the warm days, as well as the cool breezes during evening times.

Porlezza - with its picturesque houses, red tiled roofs and its old church tower is situated in the lakes area at the north of Italy – by the pristine Italian Alps and on the banks of Lake Lugano. The town is tranquil, yet bustling with livelihood. Around the old city center are many cafes and restaurants, and along its streets are little appetizing delicatessens, bakeries and charming little shops. A lively market takes place in the streets every Saturday and in the summer there is a weekly fair of antiques and handcrafts.

The town is surrounded by a beautiful boardwalk, with a playground for children in its center. Along the promenade, one can bathe in the clear waters, fish, rest, or drink a coffee in one of the cafés along the waterfront. The lake's shining waters are very inviting and some enjoy renting a boat and sailing to take pleasure in the unique view of the tall Alpine mountains surrounding from all directions, the picturesque medieval towns scattered around with their chapel bell towers.

Lake Como is a short traveling distance (only 12km), and tourists can enjoy tour around the ancient towns to absorb the medieval charm.

The town's unspoiled surrounding area is rich with outdoor activities (available in both of Italy and Switzerland).
