Terrazza Splendida (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/5)

Terrazza Splendida (130 sq.m.) has the most "wow" factor of any apartment you'll find in central Spoleto, apart from, possibly, La Torre Garibaldi. It has a huge, oblong-shaped sitting-dining room with a smart fitted kitchen that has a large fridge/freezer, hob, cooker, microwaver, toaster etc. There is a large wrap round L-shaped, squashy sofa with poof/foot rest that faces Sky/Sat TV and beautiful wooden dining furniture for 6 with padded chairs. At the front end of this open-plan and impressive space are large windows and glass doors that open up on to an equally huge terrace. The views from the terrace are of roof-tops, a church, hills and the mountains beyond. There are 2 double bedrooms (1 a twin but the twins can be joined), both of which have French windows that allow independant access to the apartments. And, there is 1 large shower room that, also, contains the washing-machine. The lighting throughout this spectacular apartment is typically "Italiana" and very beautiful.

Terrazza Tetto (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/5)

Terrazza Tetto (110 sq.m.), a remarkably pretty and spacious apartment, has an oblong-shaped sitting-dining room that has windows and French windows all along the longest side of the room and that open out onto a flower and shrub filled terrace, where there is ample room to seat about 20 people! The views from the terrace are of rooftops, a church, hills and the mountains beyond. There are 2 sofa-beds that faces Sky/satellite TV and beautiful wooden dining furniture for 4 with padded chairs. There is a smart fitted kitchen that has a large fridge/freezer, hob, cooker, microwave, toaster etc plus a washing machine. There are 2 double bedrooms (1 a twin but the twins can be joined), both of which have windows. And, there are 2 shower rooms, 1 of which contains a full-sized bath-tub. The lighting throughout this extremely elegant apartment is typically "Italiana" and very beautiful.

Notes on accommodation
Both apartments are fully centrally heated and have fans in every room in the hot weather. Terrazza Splendida is air conditioned as well and both apartments are suitable for children.
It is worth noting that these apartments can be joined up to accommodate larger parties. Terrazza Tetto is the middle of 3 apartments. And the 3rd apartment, Vista Rocca, a 1 bedroom apartment, can also be joined up with both or with just Terrazza Tetto. In effect, therefore, you have the choice of a 2 bedroom, 4 bedroom, 5 bedroom, 6 bedroom or 7 bedroom apartment (depending on whether 2 of the 3 sitting rooms were also converted into bedrooms) with 1 or 2 terraces - all with great views !
Booking 2 apartments simultaneously attracts a 10 percent discount.
Booking 3 apartments simultaneously attracts a 15 percent discount.
And, a booking of at least 3 weeks attracts a further discount, the amount discounted depending on the dates.

Outside
The terrace of Terrazza Splendida is massive! The terrace of Terrazza Tetto is about a quarter of the size but, it could still seat about 20 people.

Coast/Beach
The Adriatic is our nearest beach, about 60 miles away - a sublime drive along the Valnerina and past Norcia. Or, there is the very pretty Bolsena lake, about 30 miles away.

Special interest holidays
We can point you in the direction of cookery classes in Spoleto, laid on by the poshest restaurant in town, the chef of whom is a professor at the local, famous catering college. We can also recommend an excellent teacher of Italian who would be willing to tailor make a course for you at whatever level you wished and for as little or as long as you wished eg from 2 hours to 2 months!

Travel
Rome airport is about 90 minutes away by car though watch out for the airport at Perugia opening - it is fairly imminent, so rumour has it - only 30 mins away! Or you can get to Spoleto easily from the airports by train. See trenitalia.com and press English. It is very easy to do without a car in Spoleto because you can visit all the "hot-spots" such as Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto etc by train. And, it is likely that my husband, Laurie, could taxi you to and from Spoleto station.

Distances
By car, it takes 90 mins to Rome (quicker by train), 15 mins to Assisi, 35 mins to Perugia or Orvieto, 2 hrs 30 mins to Florence, 3 hrs 30 mins to Naples, the Amalfi coast and Pompei. And, Castelucia, perched on a hill looking across at the famous Gran Pianois just over 1 hour away. On the way to Castelucia is Norcia, where most of our white truffle is to be found (our area is abundant with black truffle all the year round).

Further details
There is pony trekking nearby as well as fishing and whitewater rafting.

Booking notes
The general booking procedure that includes the cancellation conditions is automatically sent in response to an enquiry. Bookings less than a week but not less than 3 nights are costed pro-rata the weekly rate plus an extra 20 euros/day. A bookings for 2 days is an extra 35 euros/day.
