The property provides good value accommodation with a new fitted kitchen that has a small breakfast bar style table for eating meals indoors as well as a fireplace for the cooler nights at the end of the summer. There are 6 steps off the bedroom to a spacious lounge/bedroom with a king sized bed. A further cool sitting room/dressing room leads off the main bedroom. This room has a single pull out bed suitable for an extra person and also has a shower room leading off as well as a balcony, ideal for drying the beach towels. The area provides excellent local shops and views with the choice of access to the coast as well as many relaxing walks.

Prices per week in UK pounds. Discount quad biking through rural holidays. Book before 20 January for 11 to 18 April 2008, pay £140.
Changeover day
Flexibility depends on bookings. The changeover day being a Friday. The caretaker is Isabella who runs the shops next door to the house. The house is opened up for your arrival and food can also be supplied.

Newly fitted shower, sink and toilet, tiled in light blue throughout with lighting, shavers mirror. Hot water boiler is located in the shower room and supplies ample hot water during your stay (See booking info re: dry season water supply). |

The lounge/bedroom has exposed brickwork and original marble floor tiles. There no TV but a selection of books. New cream sofa and linen box plus a pouffe that converts into a bed for 3rd person, new lighting. |

Balcony with clothes airer. The apartment has been completely re-wired, all switches are therefore new as are the plug sockets. Adapters for UK plugs are included. There is a hairdryer and spare linen. |
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: |
Bedlinen can be available by arrangement for an additional charge of 10 euros to cover the cost of washing. Towel hire is 2 euro per towel per week. Guests are welcome to bring their own bed sheet and towels. Towels and linen is changed each week. |

Suitable for a child but not suitable for people with extensive mobility problems due to steps between the rooms.

Accessibility
There are 6 steps from the kitchen to lounge/bedroom and 3 steps into the sitting area. Car hire is recommended.

Coast/Beach
Superb beaches 30 mins drive to the east coast. San Salvo Beach, 30 minutes drive with hot showering facilities available so that you can refresh and go out straight from the beach.
Skiing
Skiing available in Roccaraso - About a 40 min drive away.
Special interest holidays
Ideal for walkers, painters, cyclists. Quad biking is available as is horse riding. Rural holidays can pre-book activities and can also arrange group booking for groups of young people studying.
Travel
Pescara airport is 80 min drive away. Rome Ciampino is an easy 3 hour drive. Journey to village is steep in places but you soon adjust.
Distances
Lots of surrounding villages and a nature park very nearby.
Further details
Village shops include, bakery, grocers, butchers, post office, hardware, pharmacy, florists. Car parking at no charge just down the road from the house.
Booking notes
A £50 deposit can be made by pay pal to secure your booking. Payment in full is invoiced 6 weeks before your holiday and can also be settled via an invoice facility using paypal.

If, like us, you wish to experience the typical rustic way of life in a quiet Italian mountain village, this is definitely the place for you. Highlights of our stay in mid October 2007 were the: magnificent mountain views in all directions from the village streets; crystal clear mountain air and early autumn warm sunshine; friendly hospitality in the excellent bar on the old village square; all the provisions we needed from the close by shop and bakery; splendid long clean Adriatic beach at Vasto, just 45 minutes drive away; several excellent dining opportunities ranging from the wholesome simple local fare served by the hotel restaurant at the foot of the village, to the splendid haute cuisine provided in the Palazzo at the village summit.
