The apartment is situated in the sleepy fishing of Argegno. It is perfectly positioned to enjoy all aspects of Lake Como. Argegno itself is home to lakeside living par excellence with a selection of bars and restaurants, perfect for a lazy lunch or a romantic candlelit alfresco feast. The village also boasts an ice cream parlour, bakery, a small fruit & veg shop and mini market (a larger supermarket is found in Como 20 minutes south of Argegno). Alternatively rustle up a feast at home, relax on the comfortable leather sofas whist listening to your favourite CD, or just sip on a cool glass of Pinot Grigio whilst soaking up the sun on the apartments' balcony. Just sit back and take in the view! The apartment is all about modern, contemporary living with the emphasis on relaxation and comfort. All major routes are accessible by car, boat or bus from the village just 3 mins walk from the apartment - car hire is not required however the accommodation includes your own parking space.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Please note there is a cleaning and heating charge of £70 per stay.The apartment is meticously cleaned between each guests stay 350 euro safety deposit payable on arrival refunded on departure.

Coast/Beach
2 minutes walk to the shingle beach in Argegno with a lido and pizzeria. 10 minutes drive north will take you to Lenno, a beautiful location with a man made sandy beach with restaurants and bars nearby. Boat hire is also available from here.
Golf
The nearest golf club is on Menaggio, only 30 minutes drive from the apartment where a certain George Clooney is a member!
Skiing
Skiing in Lanzo in Italy is the nearest..A small ski resort, 40 minutes from the apartment by car.
Also visit St Moritz in Switzerland or Bormio in Italy.
In the summer we recommend trekking or view the glaziers in Zermatt.
Special interest holidays
Painting and cookery courses.
Boat hire available with or without driver.
Milan and Inter Milan football teams - 50 mins drive.
Formula 1 Monza-September each year.
Travel
Milan Linate & Malpensa are 1 hour from the apartment.
For Bergamo add an extra 30 minutes. We are happy to advise which airlines fly to the local airports from the UK.
Car rental is considered essential to get the most out of your stay in the Lakes, however boats and buses access all parts of the lake from the village wich is only a couple of minutes walk from the apartment.
Distances
A short drive to the quintessential Italian town of Como. Guide books tell you it is famous for Italian silk, however, we prefer its lake front views, pretty piazzas, 600 old churches, gelato shops (nocciala is our favourite!), alfresco dining and shopping for sumptious Italian delicacies! 25 minutes to the Swiss border for designer outlets in Fox town. 45 minutes to Milan. 20 minutes to the lakeside town of Menaggio from where you can take a ferry to Bellagio.
Further details
You are quite literally spoiled for choice here in Lake Como. Choose from Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo (20 minutes by car). Beautiful gardens in many styles with lake views to die for! Don't forget to bring your camera.
Villa Serbollini in Bellagio with unrivalled panoramic views is a fantstic day out. Bellagio itself is always a favourite for holiday makers with it's cobbled streets and unbeatable views. Do not miss Villa Babinello in Lenno. If you wanted to propose to somebody I have yet to see a more romantic spot! Walk to the villa or take the private boat (5 euros) from Lenno lido (20 minutes by car from the apartment). The villa and it's majestic gardens overlook the rich blue waters of the lake. Simply divine. No wonder the new James Bond film was shot at this Villa! (May 2006)
Drive down to Cernobbio (15 minutes south of the apartment)
for an idyllic lakeside walk, a favourite past time of ours for a Sunday stroll. Menaggio, with it's palm lined walkways is another pretty lake village worth exploring. Many boat activities from windsurfing to sailing are available on the lake as well as other water sports.
Mountain bikes are also available for hire if you wish to venture into the vast mountains that surround the lake.
There are plenty of restaurants we are happy to recommend for you both nearby in the village and futher a field.

£250 non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Balance payable 12 weeks before departure after which no refunds apply.
Key collection 2pm-6pm Saturdays preferred. Arrivals out of hours by request.
