The house comprises 3 apartments (separate entrances) and has been the home of the landlord's family for hundreds of years. It is a delightful, tranquil space with views right along the Serchio Valley. Every window in the apartment opens to a beautiful view. Lugliano is a small village about 35 miles north of Pisa, atop a hill (400m/1200ft), overlooking the charming spa town of Bagni di Lucca, which is a very pleasant 5 mins drive down the hill, past babbling brooks and wooded chestnut and acacia hillsides.

Outside
The land surrounding the house is where the family grow a wide variety of vegetables and fruits and there are woods and many lovely trees, flowering shrubs and herbs growing around the house. There's a paddock where the family's horse lives. A garden has been set aside for the exclusive use for visitors to the apartment, but guests are welcome to walk around the rest of the garden and admire the many beautiful views and plants.
Coast/Beach
The coast is about an hour's drive.
Skiing
The ski resort of Abetone is about 40 minutes drive.
Travel
Pisa airport is about an hour's drive and car hire is essential.
Distances
The ancient walled city of Lucca is half-hour drive, whilst Pisa takes about an hour and Florence 2 hours. To the west is the seaside resort of Viareggio (1 hour) and to the east the ski resort of Abetone (40 mins).
Further details
Bagni di Lucca has a number of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks etc. There is an open-air swimming pool at Bagni di Lucca and a tennis club. Barga and Lucca (about half-hour drive) have many activities of cultural interest.

A deposit of 30% of the total rental is due on booking and settlement is due 60 days before arrival.
