This private country villa set in grounds with a swimming pool, is within walking distance of the Greek temples and the beautiful resort of Selinunte. The ground floor apartment is available with the use of the pool, garden kitchen and all the other outside facilities. Selinunte is one of the greatest Greek cities in Magna Grecia and Europe’s largest Archaeological Park. The magnificent Greek temples built in 650 BC overlook a curving sandy bay and the peaceful atmosphere of the Acropolis and Necropolis conjures up pictures of ancient times. The small fishing village below lies in between the Archaeological Park on one side and a nature reserve on the other. Inland, olive groves and vines fill the countryside and on the south side of the village, there are miles of unspoilt golden beaches and sandy coves. The village is bustling during the summer months, and the numerous restaurants, many with panoramic views overlooking the sea, specialise in local fish dishes.

| Kitchen: | The inside kitchen is well equipped with a large gas cooker with oven and grill, microwave, double sinks, fridge and freezer and window overlooking the garden. The garden kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, fridge, double sinks and a gas barbeque. |
| Utility Room: | A laundry room located on the first floor is available for guests. It includes a washing machine, double sinks, iron, ironing board and terrace with washing lines (no extra charge). There is also a washing line on the ground floor. |

Accessibility
The apartment is all on the ground floor with no steps inside, however it was not specially built for wheelchair use. Please ask for more details.
Outside
The garden includes fruit trees, palm trees, a swimming pool, 7 x 17 metres, a loggia by the pool with an outside kitchen and large dining table, a gas barbeque, shaded areas with tables and chairs, sun umbrellas, sun loungers, deck chairs, several outside showers, wc and private parking.
Coast/Beach
Selinunte beaches are a 15/20 minute walk or a few minutes drive away. There are miles of unspoilt golden beaches and sandy coves. There are three Lidos where you can have a drink or a meal and hire umbrellas and loungers. Angelo’s on the Pineta beach and Yoyo’s on the main beach. Or for a romantic experience, at Angelo’s you can dine in candlelight watching the moonlight on the sea. Daytime at Yoyo’s you can have drinks, snacks or a buffet lunch looking at the sea and the Greek temples.

Learn Italian - Italian lessons can be arranged to suit your needs in the villa. All levels are available - beginners to advanced for children to adults.
Painting / Sketching - An idyllic setting to inspire anyone with inkling to put pencil to paper! The villa has a painting studio available and a Tutor on request. Painting courses run in June and September/October.
Art/Architecture/History Tours: with an English guide, pick up from the villa.
Activities can be arranged by the hour, single half days, full days or more.
Travel
Transfer time from PALERMO or TRAPANI airport to the villa is approx. 50 mins/1 hour.

Scheduled flights - daily from London Heathrow/Gatwick and regional airports, change usually in Rome or Milan.
Hire cars are available in the airports. Quotes can be given for guests wishing to be collected from airports, boats, trains or bus.
Distances
Restaurants, bars, beaches and other facilities of Selinunte are a 10/20 minute walk or a few minutes drive away.
The Archaeological park with Greek temples is within a few hundred metres from the house and the entrance to the park is about a 10/15 minute walk.

The village facilities include a chemist, a post office, a bank, two cash machines, two small supermarkets, two bakeries, a newsagents, several craft shops with beautiful pottery painted in Selinunte, a 24-hour doctors surgery, small hotels, bars, cake shop, restaurants and plenty of sandy beaches.
Sightseeing - Sicily is brimming with history. Selinunte is within approximately 1 hour of Agrigento, Sciacca, Mazara del Vallo, Marsala, Mozia, Trapani, Erice, Segesta, and many other interesting places.
Boat Excursions - A day out with lunch on board the San Andrea, spectacular views the temples from the sea!
Walking - The Nature Reserve provides interesting walkways across the sand dunes behind the Pineta beach.
Wine Tasting - Sicilian wine is becoming well known in Britain. You can visit the many excellent wineries in the area.
Shopping - Wonderful street markets on different days in all the local towns, with an array of exotic gifts and food.
Theatre Visits - Palermo’s Teatro Massimo has a varied programme and is well worth a visit. Open air performances in the spectacular Greek amphitheatre at Segesta are held in the summer months.
Spas, Thermal Pools and Massage - There are three spa centres with natural hot pools, massage and treatments for health and beauty all around 30 minutes drive from the villa. Sciacca Spa has been famous since Selinunte Greek times!
Wining and Dining - Many excellent bars and restaurants within walking distance of the villa.
