The completely self contained large apartment is on the first floor on an old country house completely renovated and is reached via a private courtyard which is safe for children. The English-speaking owner lives in a separate house in the same courtyard. With beautiful swimming pools set in pine woods just 10 mins drive away and access to the A26 motorway within 3 mins, the location is ideal for enjoying the local amenities or touring the Italian Lakes. We also provide secure off-road parking.

Notes on accommodation
The flat is very spacious (about 120 sqm) and well-equiped (including lap-top with internet connection) We are sorry we cannot accomodate pets since we would not want to upset our own very friendly and well-behaved dog. Heating in the winter to be paid separately.

There are a lot of nice beaches by the lake.
Golf
Nearest wonderful golf course at 15 mins drive: Golf Club des Iles Borromčes is one of the best. Around the Lake Maggiore area you will find eight golf courses.
Skiing
Nearest ski resort is Mottarone 30 mins drive altitude of 1.500 metres. It's situated between Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta one of the most beatiful natural balconies. It's possible to ski in winter and also go trekking, mountain biking in summer.
Travel
Nearest Airports are: Milan Malpensa (all companies) 30 mins drive. Milan Orio al Serio (Ryanair) 1hr 30 mins drive
Nearest rail station is Arona 15 mins away. Car: necessary
The owner usually collect the guests at the exit of the motorway (just 3 mins from the house) to show te best way to get to the house.

Arona- Stresa 15 mins. Milano 45 mins. Torino 1hr 30 mins.
Ligurean sea 1hr 30 mins. Switzerland 1hr. Venezia - Firenze 3hr.
Further details
There are a lot of places to visit. On the Lake Maggiore, there are three famous islands: Isola Bella, Isola Madre & Isola dei pescatori. Also on the Lake Orta, there is a very picturesque island called 'Isola S. Giorgio'. There are some beautiful villas which are famous for their wonderful flowers that you can visit in Spring.
Booking notes
We ask you send a cheque for £100 (or dollars) which we will hold as a deposit. We don't cash the cheque. Instead, on arrival return the cheque in exchange for the total amount due in cash, in euros.
