The villa has an enviable position in having a 360 degree view from a roof terrace, towards the Valle d'Itria. Villa Palma is located only 15-20 minutes away from over 400 miles of glorious coastline and from the many places of interest. The Villa is also minutes away from lovely Cisternino which has been voted one of Italy's most beautiful towns. Ostuni is also a very chic town which is popular during the summer months and is also only minutes away from Villa Palma. Changeover day
Saturday changeover, although we can be flexible for times other than peak season. Check in times are after 4pm on the day of arrival and check out times are 11am on the day of departure.

Accommodation

 

Notes on accommodation
Modern classical Italian furniture gives the villa a panache, characteristic of this style of house. Beautifully tiled terrace and Lights surround the pool and Jacuzzi. Italian statues situated off to the side of the drive and around the pool area. Lovely bathroom, including warm shower and toilet close to the pool. Secure grounds with fenced wall and gate which makes it safe for children. Fans in most rooms. Mosquito nets on all windows.

Outside
There is a majestic long drive, with pine trees and lights leading to the villa. Very private location with large gardens to the front and rear of the property which reflect the terrain of the local countryside. Statues and stone garden furniture are tastefully situated by a small garden path where you can hide in the shade with a glass of wine or a book (or both). Many shrubs and trees, including 4 large palm trees, with orange, lemon, olive and other fruit trees surround the villa. A large vine covers an ornate stone table and chairs from which there is a lovely atmosphere, where family and friends can chat late into the evening. Alfresco dining is also the order of the day on a spacious verandah at the entrance to the villa. A lovely large barbeque is also available and you can access the villa from the pool area via a patio door.The pool(10mx5m)and Jacuzzi is very private and a lovely tiled bathroom near the pool is available for your covenience.

Coast/Beach
A list of the best beaches will be listed in an information pack in your villa. According to a popular Italian magazine, the beaches near Ostuni are the cleanest in Europe. Approximately 10 mins from Ostuni you will find Pilone and Torre Sabina beach. You will find a selection of 'lidos' which offer shaded car parking, showers, toilets and snack bars. You can also hire sun loungers and umbrellas for a small fee. Diana Mariana and Montecelli are also beautiful stretches of coastline.

Golf
Puglia is a great golfing escape in winter and summer with 4 excellent courses which are perfect for a 1 or 2 week playing break. Villa Palma is conveniently placed for all. Excellent 5 star luxury golf resort and spa near the fishing village of Savelletri near Fasano, which is mid-way between Bari and Brindisi. San Domenico golf course is approx 25 mins away from the villa.

Travel
The property is less than 40 mins from Brindisi airport and about one hour from Bari. It is situated in an ideal location for touring this fascinating area. Ostuni, Cisternino, Martina Franca and Ceglie are all within a few minutes of the villa, which means you are very central to many places of interest. Car hire is essential. Transfers to and from the airport can be arranged at reasonable rates.

Apulia! One must visit it all: from the mysterious grottoes of the Gargano, through the sunny fields of Cisternino and the pasture of the Western Murgia hills, through olive groves and vineyards, touching the almond, cherry, lemon and fruit trees, and reaching the Salento region embraced by the Adriatic and Ionian seas. Puglia has the unique Trulli, which can be found in abundance in Alberebello. This rural architecture has made the town of Alberobello a UNESCO World Heritage site. Alberobello is at the heart of Trulli land, with over a thousand of these stone cone-roofed buildings in the famous Valle d'Itria. Around Alberobello the local landscape is of vineyards and olive groves, dry-stone walled fields are characteristic of Alberobello and with its surrounding forests it was given its name, the beautiful tree. Cisternino - situated in the land of the trulli which is visited every year by many tourists. Cisternino offers a sun-drenched charm and stands on a small hill from where the eye sweeps over both Locorotondo and the Itria valley dotted with white trulli standing amid the green trees and cultivated fields. Cisternino has been awarded the accolade of being one of 15 of Italy’s most beautiful old towns. Cisternino has something of a reputation as a town of gastronomy with no shortage of restaurants and trattorias, which set their tables out in the narrow whitewashed streets and piazzas. You can stroll in the evening where you will find charming restaurants almost hidden in the pretty narrow walkways. Ceglie Messapica - a small messapian town with its old town consisting of white little terraced houses and staircases winding into narrow rolling streets. Places to visit: Square Norman - Swabian tower, Church of St. Nicholas with an important sculpture of the Madonna and Child, Madonna d'Ibernia Sanctuary. Ostuni - this is a town where numerous archeological findings have been made. Known as the 'White city' as it glows day and night.

Booking notes
Upon confirming your booking, via the owners website (see below), a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total amount must be sent within 7 days, otherwise your booking option will automatically be released. You will be given one further option for 7 days, on request. Your reservation will be confirmed on receipt of your deposit. The balance must be paid in full, no later than 8 weeks before arrival. A refundable security deposit of £150 (in cash) is required on arrival.
