Casa Zumbini is situated in a quiet traffic free cobbled street only a short walk away from the main Piazza Liberta and the historical centre with it's amazing selection of shops, bars and restaurants catering for all tastes and age groups. Ostuni is about 15 minutes by car from Brindisi airport or about 50 minutes from Bari airport. Ryanair fly to both from around £1 each way. The hilltop town of Ostuni looks down over the Blue flag beaches beaches of the Adriatic coast and is one of the most highly regarded historic towns in Southern Italy. Rough Guide: "one of the most stunning small towns of southern Italy", "a gleaming white splash of sun-bleached streets and cobbled alleyways". Lonely Planet: "stunning town of stark, whitewashed buildings", "the seemingly disordered tangle of narrow cobblestone streets, many little more than arched stairways between the houses, recalls a North African Arab medina".

| Other: | The Master Bedroom has a lovely balcony overlooking the quiet street. The top floor bedroom has a barrel-vaulted exposed stone ceiling and is over 7 metres long! |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels, linen and cleaning are all included. Our good friend Pauline who cleans the house changes the linen at the end of each stay / week (which ever is the soonest). Daily / midweek cleaning can be arranged if required (contact owner for prices). |
Notes on accommodation
During the renovation we were careful to keep all of the original "features". There are very high domed ceilings to most rooms and lots of exposed stonework.

Outside
There is a large roof terrace with surrounding balcony that has a fabulous view of the sea and historical centre.
Coast/Beach
The drive down to the sea takes around 10 minutes from the Old Town. There are several lovely beaches near Ostuni including the sandy Pilone 2 and the georgous Torre Guaceto, a WWF protected nature reserve.
Golf
San Domenica golf course lies next to the town of Savelletri di Fasano and is approximately 20 minutes drive from Ostuni. Its south boundary is as close to the sea as the road and rocky coastline will allow. A challenging 18 hole 72 par course with superb views of the Adriatic. Together with strategic bunkering, definitive fairway shaping and a clever green design, a thought provoking golf test has been set. Open all year.
Travel
Cheapest flights from London are with Ryanair from Stansted to Brindisi (approx 20 mins drive) or Bari (approx 50 mins drive). British Airways and Alitalia also fly to Bari.
If flying with Ryanair discounted car hire is available through Hertz. Otherwise Europcar, National, Maggiore, Sixt and Targarent also have rental outlets at the airports.
It's possible to catch a train to Ostuni from either airport and get a taxi to the property from the station, or just simply get a taxi direct.

Further details
Apart from the beautiful nearby beaches, one of the best things about staying in the centre of Ostuni town itself are the many gorgeous restaurants (which are surprisingly cheap !), stylish bars and cafes which are all within walking distance.

Booking notes
A security deposit of £100 is requested to cover any serious damage or breakages which will be refunded when the keys are returned and the house has been inspected (This is normally carried out with you by the neighbour when you leave).
