There are 2 open air swimming centres nearby, one is a 10 min walk from the apartments and has a separate childrens pool.

The front door opens onto a large living area with beamed ceiling and traditional floor tiles. The well equipped kitchen area, with its original marble sink, has a 4 ring gas hob with electric oven, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. A high chair is available if needed. The bedroom with its traditional wooden shutters and floor tiles, has a double wrought iron bed. The sofa in the lounge area can be opened out to provide additional beds for two. A cot is available if needed. There is a four piece shower room.

The antique wooden door opens onto the family dining kitchen with its original stone sink, open fireplace, beamed ceiling and traditional floor tiles. The kitchen has a 4-ring gas hob with electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. (Washing machine is in bathroom).
There are three double bedrooms, with traditional tiled floors and wooden shutters. Two of the bedrooms have beamed ceilings. For relaxation, an 'altana' (covered roof terrace) with original terracotta tiles and beamed ceiling has been converted to a comfortable sitting room while an external terrace provides a sunny spot for 'al fresco' dining and sunbathing. There is a bathroom and separate shower room.

Vicolo Orsini numbers 4 and 6 have an internal adjoining door (from the living area of number 4 to the hallway of number 6)which allows the properties to be lived in as 1 property with 4 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 shower rooms with WC and a bathroom with WC.

Both houses are on one level (ground floor) and can be joined via two internal doors (normally kept locked) to form a 4 bedroom house with 2 kitchens, 3 bathrooms, lounge and balcony.

Locally, there are activities for all ages - bicycle hire, horse riding, tennis,swimming, trekking in the mountains, visiting local areas of interest, music (in particular Opera Barga and Barga Jazz) as well as a series of village festivals. Barga is a lively place in the summer months and perfect for teenagers who have a great time meeting others and hanging out together. Skiing/snowboarding (in winter) and the sea (summer) are both about 1 hour away, while Florence and Pisa can be reached in about one and a half hours.
