This delightful two-bedroomed, single storey semi-detached cottage is within walking distance of the charming lakeside promenade, local shops, banks, bars, restuarants and the Navigation point where you can catch ferries to other beautiful towns and villages on Lake Como. The front of the cottage has a gated entrance for complete privacy and a small carport. A small front garden offers a shady place to sit. The back garden affords a view of the mountains and the ancient church of Sant'Andrea. A portico offers a place to eat. Villa Balbianello is not to be missed (accessible by boat and on foot). Nor Villa Carlotta at Tremezzo and Villa Melzi at Belaggio. The area has a wealth of interesting churches and villas to visit. From Cottage dei Poeti, there are lanes and pretty cobbled streets to explore the historic neighbourhood offering visitors the opportunity to view the lake from many different vantage points. Lunch at Hotel du Lac at Varenna is not to be missed.

Notes on prices
Prices shown are for the property per week in euros. Deposit and balance in euros as per terms and conditions. Up to 4 people sharing. A clean for Lets of more than one week can be requested (if available) 60 euros. This must be booked at the time of confirmation. No increase on 2007 prices.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. We ask that you arrive between 2pm and 6pm, although we are flexible about that too, (other times by prior arrangement) and ends at 10am on the morning of departure. Please contact us in the event of any delay.

| Kitchen: | Electric oven, gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Well equipped with cutlery, crockery, cooking pans and all other necessities for self-catering. |
| Utility Room: | Outside room - ironing board, iron, brush, mop, buckets etc. Clothes airer. |
| Living Rooms: | The kitchen/diner is a large space with a dining table and seating for 4. A sofa bed. All crockery, cutlery and glassware needed for self-catering. TV (Italian channels only), DVD and CD & Radio player. |
| Other: | The front arched entrance leads through the hallway to the large kitchen/diner. To the left, is the twin bedroom. Turn right towards the bathroom and the double room is on the right. All the floors except the bathroom are parque. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All linen and towels (except beach towels) are included. For bookings of 2 weeks the linen etc will be changed after 1 week. If staying for more than 1 week a cleaning service can be booked at the time of confirmation of your booking (€60). |

Not suitable for wheelchairs as the entrance is too narrow.

Small garden front and back of the property. Patio area has a patio table and four chairs.
Coast/Beach
A 'stony' beach is a 15 minute walk, on the opposite side of the cove at the far end of the promenade at Lenno, alongside the Lido. It is used by locals and holiday makers alike. Jelly shoes are advised. Swimming in the lake is cool but very refreshing. The Lido has a sandy area. Beds can be hired for a nominal daily cost. Other small beaches frequent the coastline in both directions from Lenno.

Milan (Linate) 75km.
Milan (Malpensa) 65km.
Car hire is not essential. A good bus and boat service will take you to many different destinations.

Two local supermarkets, hairdressers, banks, pharmacy, gift and dress shops, cycle hire shop, jewellers, restaurants, bars. The famous Lenno olive oil is available direct from the 'factory'. Churches, mountain walks, cycling, swimming or just sitting, watching the world or the mountains.
Booking notes
Reservations by email. A 50% non-returnable deposit is required to confirm your booking, only refundable in the unlikely event that we have to cancel your booking. Balance is payable in Euros as per Terms & Conditions. Security deposit of 225euros is payable at beginning of the let; returned at the end less any deductions that may be owing. N.B. A final clean is included in the price of your let. If the cottage is NOT left in a clean and tidy condition a deduction of 60 euro will be taken.
