Easy access to lively Strada Nova - main street and to COOP and Billa supermarkets, fish, fruit and veg markets, lots of good local restaurants/bars and shops including authentic Murano glass and fab Italian fashion. Less then 5 min walk to the nearest water bus stop. The owner meet guests on arrival. Minimum stay is 3 nights. The flat is non-smoking only. No arrivals after 8pm.

Venice (in short) is about canal, bridge and a church - and any part of actual Venice can be reached on-foot. Sure, you will have to take a water bus to visit the islands: Giudecca, Lido, Murano, Burano, Torchello, Pellestrina.
Venice is divided into 6 districts: San Marco, Cannaregio, Dorsoduro, San Polo, Santa Croce and Castello.
The main congestion of tourists in Venice is between St. Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge. But, there is more to Venice then just San Marco and Rialto!!

You can't drive in Venice, Venice is car free!! You can't even ride a bicycle in Venice. You get about in Venice on-foot or by using a vaporetto (water bus).
The best place to park a car is at Marco Polo airport @ 5.00 euros per day. Otherwise, there is a large car park on Tronchetto island (just before you get to Venice) at 20.00 euros per day or on Piazzale Roma in Venice itself at 28.00 euros per day.
Single water bus ticket (for a single journey) cost 6.50 euros.
3 days pass (72 hours) cost 33.00 euros unlimited use including all the islands.
Weekly pass (7 days) cost 50.00 euros unlimited use including all the islands in the lagoon.

Deposit require to secure the booking. Cancellation fees: if you are cancelling your holidays within 10 weeks or less prior scheduled arrival - refund given less 30% of a paid amount. Notice given within 6 weeks or less prior arrival - refund given less 50% of a paid amount. Notice given within 4 weeks or less - refund given less 75% of a paid amount.
Guest comments
We were in Venice for a week during the Carnival in Feb. 2012.
The flat is superb: well positioned with great decor, clean and, I must say, arranged better then our own home! We soon fell in love with it.
Most cordial, knowledgeable and helpful owner (who pay attention to every detail) give us a tour of the area pointing out local, non-touristy restaurants/bars, supermarkets and places of interest.
